Natus Vincere see off GODSENT to secure grand final spot in London

With a 2-0 victory over GODSENT in the semi finals, Natus Vincere advanced to the grand final of ICE Challenge where they will face mousesports.

At their first LAN with Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, Natus Vincere have shown respectable form and secured three BO3 victories, however, it is tomorrow's BO5 match against Finn "karrigan" Andersen's squad that will show how good the latest roster is against the top teams.

The series was off to a spectacular start as on Overpass, GODSENT's pick, force buys were traded back and forth. Natus Vincere won the CT pistol, but plays like Martin "STYKO" Styk's triple kill with a Scout or Perfecto's 1v2 clutch resulted in a 4-4 scoreline. The CIS side then finally managed to stabilize, and with three successful retakes in a row, got control of the economy and pushed into the lead.

Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev was a consistent fragging factor in the first half, but it was the clutches of Denis "electronic" Sharipov that proved crucial in Natus Vincere finishing the half with a strong advantage, 10-5. That scoreline was extended with a successful B push on the T pistol by Natus Vincere, who were unstoppable on the offense, shortly closing the deal with a 16-7 win.

Natus Vincere are on to the grand final

Things continued where they left off on Train as Natus Vincere, again on the CT side, started dominantly. Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov was inspired early on, picking up kills and avoiding death round after round. His team gave up just four kills to GODSENT as they ran up an 8-0 lead before STYKO's triple on an A push brought an end to Natus Vincere's streak.

By winning an eco in round 12, the international team got back into the match, eventually breaking Natus Vincere's economy and securing their sixth round on the offense after a 2v2 situation won by Jesse "zehN" Linjala and Pavle "Maden" Bošković . GODSENT then claimed the CT pistol, but dropping the anti-force saw s1mple's team regain momentum, 13-9.

A saved AWP on Mikail "Maikelele" Bill was the catalyst for GODSENT winning the following round on a low buy, starting a three-round streak going their way. electronic's sneaky triple prevented GODSENT from equalizing the scoreline and Natus Vincere just barely kept in front for the rest of the game, closing it out 16-13 to take the series victory.

Nt GODSENT you will come back stronger! Sad for GuardiaN that NaVi performed better than they ever did with him without even practicing.

for some reason i remember a few grand final appearances that s1mple got carried by electronic in, while not living up to his name at the same time.
2020-02-05 18:52
People expect him to top frag every game which doesn't work when u have a godly rifler like electronic in ur team. Zywoo will top frag every game coz vitality doesnt have a rifler like electronic except maybe shoxie but he is washed up. For the same reason device doesnt top frag every game, magisk and dupreeh are inctedible riflers. Point being getting carried by riflers is justified if they are too good.

A bit sloppy from godsent but still a very decent run, good things to come.
2020-02-05 18:09
Maden is a really solid entry, with that shape i can see him being picked up by one of the top teams quite soon
2020-02-05 18:13
hes been doing it for a while too, while they were smash as well.
2020-02-05 18:53
Why would he want to leave a big org with an actually smart and full of potential project?
2020-02-06 08:45
Cuz eksem, krystal and (probably) zehn are washed up and not goin anywhere. Id also debate "big org" statement lol.
2020-02-06 12:37
Eksem?? (Maikelele ?) Ok but he is the heart of the team Krystal retires and becomes coach Replace him by karrigan when he inevitably gets benched by mouz (not saying he deserves but he always gets kicked for no reason) When Maikelele becomes too bad replace him by sh1ro if he can speak English and his buyout is not too huge, otherwise sign Maka. Zehn is very decent and still has a big impact on the team.
2020-02-06 16:06
All that is good, but he deserves a better team right now :|
2020-02-06 23:59
Maybe but GODSENT will improve so the smartest move for him is to stay there.

Mouz still have way more firepower than NaVI. Even if p1mple is great with his left hand mouz will still destroy them.
2020-02-05 20:40
For sure in 2020 mouz vs Na`Vi might be hard match and really unpredictable. But S1mple is miles ahead of these two guys which he mentioned.
