Nordavind and Sprout advance to EU Minor closed qualifier
Nordavind and Sprout have secured berths in the Europe Minor closed qualifier after coming out on top of the second open qualifier.
Day one of the open qualifier saw Polish representatives succeed as four teams from the country — ex-Virtus.pro, AGO, AVEZ, and PACT — made it through to day two alongside Nordavind, Copenhagen Flames, Juggernauts, and Sprout.
The Nordic mixture around Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel were the first to qualify after beating two of the aforementioned Poles, including Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski & co. in a convincing manner on Nuke and PACT over three maps in the spot-deciding series.

Having missed out on a top-two placing the first time around, Sprout succeeded in their second attempt. At first they took down AVEZ 16-12 on Inferno on the back of great performances from the newcomers, Paweł "dycha" Dycha and Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný, and the duo kept performing as the team defeated AGO for the second spot.
The updated team list of the Europe Minor closed qualifier looks as follows:
The two remaining open qualifiers, which will determine the last four spots, are set to be played on February 8-9 and February 12-13.
