FLASHPOINT closed qualifiers set to start

The closed qualifiers for the first season of FLASHPOINT will begin in just two days in all three regions following the conclusion of the action-packed open stages.

The European qualifier will feature a total of 32 teams, twice as many as the North American and the South American tournaments, with all three competitions featuring a 50/50 split between invited and qualified sides, as well as a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket.

Each closed qualifier will offer two spots at the LAN qualifier

The top two teams from each region will progress to the Global Qualifier, which will be held at the FACEIT studio in Los Angeles from March 3-5. This stage will determine the last two teams who will be entering FLASHPOINT, where they will be competing against the league's ten franchise partners, six of which have already been revealed.

Meanwhile, FLASHPOINT has announced that over a third of the qualifying stage's $100,000 prize pool has been allocated to the closed qualifiers. The Global Qualifier will have $64,000 up for grabs, with the winner claiming $20,000, while the runner-up will earn $12,000.

The prize distribution for the qualifiers is the following:

i see most of the 6 invited teams at the same level to many teams at the closed qualifier apart from mibr. its defintily not a competition to the esl pro league.

I will watch anything that involves BIG destroying other teams. But then again, BIG only can usually destroy good teams, against bad teams they always look like they are throwing or just PUGging around

it seems a lot of the bigger SA orgs are doing the same. In Brazil you pretty much are 1st or 2nd best CSGO team and relevant, or you get burried amongst all the other up and coming teams. I've seen quite a few do this in last 6 months or so

It makes sense because there isn't alot of good teams in the NA and they can really stand out if they play good cs in NA and make a name for themselves..

I cheered for GL since they were Uruguay until they brought back Draken. Too tired of them continually making the team worse and worse and getting scores that just prove they aren't getting closer to their goals. The only one I still like in the team is RustY

Do you remember when GL had 100% on Mirage? That was about 3 weeks ago. Today they failed to get 10 rounds against Fruktskål, who is a Swedish t6 team with Jayzwalkerz
