Managing Director Ben Woodward stated following regarding the change to Power Gaming:
"The time had come to start afresh, we all enjoyed ourselves over at cc// (Crack Clan) but we felt it was the right time to move on. PG has high levels of investment much like cc// had and we just had to bring the 1.6 guys with us. Despite some poor results recently we're convinced the player changes will make significant improvements to the lineup that'll allow us to compete at the top level."
The team furthermore holds a spot at the World Cyber Games 2009 Grand Finals in Chengdu, which they secured by defeating Excello in the Finnish qualifier final.
