Na`Vi clinch No.1 world ranking for second time

Natus Vincere have knocked Astralis off the No.1 ranking following Monday's weekly update.

The CIS giants secured the top spot in the rankings for a second stint a week after winning IEM Katowice, where they put up a dominant show in the playoffs to make swift demolitions of Liquid, Astralis and G2 en route to the title.

Na`Vi will replace Astralis, who had spent the last four months at No.1 after being overtaken by Evil Geniuses for a brief period between October 28 and November 11.

Natus Vincere first ascended to No.1 in the world rankings in April 2016 following back-to-back runner-up finishes at the MLG Columbus Major and at DreamHack Masters Malmö, with Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev being the only player remaining from that roster. They spent three weeks atop the rankings before being replaced by the Brazilians of Luminosity.

Only six points separate Natus Vincere and Astralis at the top of the rankings, with both teams slated to compete in ESL Pro League Season 11, which will kick off in a week's time, and in the New Legends Stage of the ESL One Rio Major following playoff appearances at the StarLadder Major.
