ESL Pro League Season 11 group stage schedule revealed

ESL have made public the schedule for the upcoming ESL Pro League Season11 group stage, which starts on Monday, March 16.

The ESL Pro League Season 11 group stage will kick off on March 16 and run through April 4 in Malta before the tournament changes locale to Denver for the finals.

The group stage will feature four groups of six teams playing round-robin best-of-threes. The winners of Group A and B will face off in a play-in that will give them a spot in the semi-finals or quarter-finals, as will the top two teams in Group C and D, while the second and third-place finishers in each group will start their playoff runs in the round of 12.

Astralis will face NiP on the first day of play in Malta

With the last preparations underway before the start of the competition, it is still unclear what will happen with Heroic's spot in the tournament, as reports about the Danish lineup being bought by FunPlus Phoenix to join Flashpoint 1 as a partner in the new league emerged yesterday.

The action will kick off with Group A and Group B, whose teams will play on March 16-25, followed by the Group C and D matches running from March 26 to April 4.

I meant that if CoL wanted to pay an org to forfeit their closed qualifier slot they would have paid a small org like SMASH and not Mad Lions who are one of the biggest orgs in the qualifier.

thx for the news. Maybe from the prize money, it would be better for BIG to stay in flashpoint, but in the ProLeague they can play against better teams, so maybe that's the right decision.
2020-03-11 15:45
If they choose flashpoint over EPL then there's no hope for that team.

Why? Flashpoint is easier comp and prize money, its a good way to make your way into upper tier 2 in fuckin EPL BIG is gonna be last in their group. Bad choice from Big

2020-03-11 23:53
If they want to stay in tier2 then yeah, flashpoint is the better choice. And then if they occasionally qualify for t1 event they'll bomb out at last place because of lack of experience in playing t1 teams. Also imagine if BIG would end up in group A, they'd have a real chance of getting top3.

LOL BIG are terrible they suck online which is where pro league is now and they are losing to tier 5 teams like Detona or Riders. Flashpoint would have been less embarrassing for them honestly and they could have eased into higher tiers. DH Lepizig was a fluke so lets see how Big does.
2020-03-12 19:24
I agree they dissapointed overall but that's not really my point. All I'm saying is I like that they took the challenge rather than settling in tier2

I'd say it's a combination of allu being a shit igl and immense pressure to perform after aleksib's kick. You can clearly see they play with literally zero confidence.

????? boom qualified from na mdl (as INTZ) and sharks kept their spot due making it season 10 EPL finals, considering this it is only to be expected these teams are part of the league honestly fair or not so IDK what you on about, it wasn't only about if you were big enough team, also your results mattered, that was the one way for lesser teams to have a spot for this season, lucky for them to be right place in the right time and secure their spots I guess, however it is not like ESL just randomly decided they are in but rather their results made it so.
