HAVU surprise MAD Lions in Flashpoint opener
HAVU have taken MAD Lions by surprise at Flashpoint 1, grabbing a 2-1 victory in the Danes' debut with Asger "AcilioN" Larsen.
The Finnish side kick off their campaign in the Los Angeles tournament successfully with an important series victory against the group's biggest favorite and the highest-ranked side of the tournament.
MAD Lions' opening loss to the team currently ranked 30th comes as a hard blow after they've had to face much criticism from the community and pundits following the puzzling dismissal of their former in-game leader, Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, who had widely been credited with the team's rise over the course of 2019.

HAVU won the series largely thanks to a spectacular comeback on Nuke. They were at a point trailing 2-11 on the Terrorist side but claimed the last two rounds and put together an impressive and convincing defense spearheaded by Olli "sLowi" Pitkänen to clinch the opening map.
A close loss on Mirage followed despite another late comeback attempt from a 7-13 deficit before the Finnish squad closed out the series with a 16-10 victory on Train, where Eetu "sAw" Saha and company were in the driving seat for the majority of the map.
