Flashpoint reveals revised schedule; matches to resume on March 20

The organiser has set the schedule for the remaining matches in Phase 1 after announcing a transition to online play on Monday.

The Los Angeles-based league suspended offline play on Monday after an escalation in response to the coronavirus outbreak, following suit with ESL in the move to have their matches played online.

The revised schedule for Phase 1 will swap the order of matches to better suit teams as they transition to playing at home or from the LA apartments provided by the tournament organiser, with matches from the same group no longer being held on the same day.

Flashpoint will return Friday with MIBR taking on Envy

Flashpoint also clarified that the previous dates provided for Phase 2 have yet to be confirmed as they continue to finalise their schedule.

The revised schedule looks as follows:

Friday, March 20
18:00 North America Envy vs. Brazil MIBR
21:00 Sweden Dignitas vs. United States Cloud9

Saturday, March 21
18:00 Denmark MAD Lions vs. Denmark Copenhagen Flames
21:00 United States Gen.G vs. United States Chaos

Sunday, March 22
18:00 Canada Orgless vs. Denmark FunPlus Phoenix
21:00 Finland HAVU vs. Europe c0ntact

20:00 Group B Consolidation final
23:00 Group C Consolidation final

When will PingPoint start? :>
2020-03-18 17:33
ClusterfuckPoint for real tho, ESL handled all this much better. it was foreseeable that they most likely couldnt hold a offline event currently and they acted way before it and made the best out of it. Thorin first trashes ESL for that stuff and calls them ESL Ping League and hours later Trashpoint had to follow up and do the same and now FP even have to delay the matches by a few days. interest in this league was limited from the beginning and i gotta say this is not a good start at all.

Thorin really just makes things worse than they should be. Really aside from him, some of the managing of the situation including inviting teams out of the Global Qualifier who should have been rightfully out of it, last minute moves in general (looking at you Heroic/FPX) and the limited (potential) Tier 1 competition, it's been a fun league to watch tbh. I enjoyed the banter, matches were pretty competitive and it gives smaller teams like CFlames and Orgless a boost pad to potentially get their names out there for big orgs looking for another opportunity to enter CS or established teams calling and offering you a spot in a potentially tournament winning team, NRG signing Orgless would be great, that's the best roster in NA available imo besides maybe Bad News Bears.

i enjoyed the banter as well, especially between chaos and mibr but now that they play online, there probably wont be any banter anymore. the matchups itself are not very interesting IMO, aside from chaos and dignitas playing i'd probably always prefer EPL over FP

Same, EPL is more stacked but Delusional Big Fan is gonna come around and spam the shit outta forums as soon as Big win something.
2020-03-18 21:38
Well said. The tournament even though not having tier 1 is interesting to watch and Thorin is a dumbass who should have no where near the following he has. Its a shame that he is this tourneys face. I mean how dumb can you be to make fun about playing offline when there was just a matter of days they themselves would go offline. That was so obvious corona spread is beyond anybodys control (except china ffs if their numbers are not falsified) and both eu and na will go on quarantine

i'm not really taking him serious but if you throwing punches you gotta make sure you're prepared of taking a few as well. it was clear they had to transition to offline play in a matter of time so making these kind of remarks was just a dumb thing to do.
2020-03-18 12:13
Thorin says stupid shit.. are you surprised? Production has had glitches which has been annoying... But it's free enterainment so, who really has a right to complain? Also, it's shutdown due to the government.. how is that their fault?

not surprised about thorin talking shit but #25 also obviously not blaming flashpoint for coronavirus but you could've easily seen this coming and prepare beforehand. instead it almost looks like they are surprised that this happened, they have to delay everything for four days and all EU teams are trapped in the USA
