TYLOO bench Freeman, xeta due to coronavirus outbreak

TYLOO have announced that they have benched WingHei "⁠Freeman⁠" Cheung and Seon-Ho "⁠xeta⁠" Son with immediate effect as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement posted on social media network Weibo, TYLOO explained that Freeman and xeta have returned to Hong Kong and South Korea, respectively, and are currently in isolation at home after the team left their gaming house in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev ahead of ESL One: Road to Rio - Asia, which will kick off on May 6.

YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai, HaoWen "⁠somebody⁠" Xu and YuanZhang "⁠Attacker⁠" Sheng have all flown back to mainland China and remain in isolation at a hotel in Qingdao, a city in the province of Shandong, for 14 days. TYLOO have provided the trio with computers so that they can continue practicing for the tournament ahead.

Rounding out the roster will be Zhenghao "⁠DANK1NG⁠" Lv and Kelun "⁠SLOWLY⁠" Sun, two players who had recently signed for TYLOO, seemingly with a view to spearheading the organisation's academy team.

xeta has been moved to the bench for the time being

DANK1NG spent two months on TYLOO in late 2019 before suddenly leaving the team due to personal issues. He went on to join EHOME, for whom he averaged an impressive 1.28 rating in all competitions.

SLOWLY, 18, averaged a 1.12 rating during his two-year spell with EHOME between 2018 and 2020. He was part of the team that finished 7th-8th at last year's EPICENTER – where DANK1NG didn't play – following losses to Heroic and Vitality in the group stage.

According to TYLOO, the return date of Freeman and xeta to the starting lineup remains unclear. The Hongkonger was signed in June 2019 after impressing for ViCi, while the South Korean, formerly of MVP PK, was added to the team at the start of the year as TYLOO struggled for options in the aftermath of Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand's departure.

TYLOO, who will face Mazaalai, D13 and Camel Riders in the group stage of ESL One: Road to Rio, currently have:

Many people choose to return to their countries. Many foreign exchange students (like me) returned to china and many of my Korean friends plan on going back to Korea.(from canada.) In china, everyone who enters the country has to undergo quarentine at a nearby(dedicated) hotel for 2 weeks.
