BOOM top Road to Rio South American group, Isurus and Imperial to semis
ESL One: Road to Rio South America's group stage has concluded with BOOM coming out on top to seal passage to the grand final and Isurus and Imperial advancing to the semi-final.
The group stage saw RED Canids eliminated from the four-team tournament in last place with three losses after Renato "nak" Nakano's team were unable to convert close three-map series against BOOM and Isurus.
Having survived the opening encounter by a hair's breadth, BOOM went on to clinch straight-forward victories against Imperial and Isurus to book their spot in the grand final, looking like by far the best team with all five players finishing at the top of the rating board.

The Argentinian-Chilean mixture finished the group in second place with Marcos "deco" Amato and Nicolás "Noktse" Dávila at the helm, leaving Imperial — who only made it to the tournament as a replacement for TeamOne — in third ahead of their rematch in the semi-finals.
The South American division of ESL One: Road to Rio will come to its conclusion over the weekend, with the playoffs schedule looking as follows:
