BLAST Rising playoffs set to start

The BLAST Rising playoffs bracket is set to kick off on Monday following the conclusion of the group stage.

The round-robin group stage was played over the course of two weeks, with each team facing off against their group opponents twice in a best-of-one setting.

One of the biggest surprises saw Movistar Riders fail to make it out of Group C at the hands of Japaleno and FATE, who came out on top of a three-way tie for the top-two spots in the group to oust the favored Spaniards out of the tournament.

Heretics enter Rising playoffs undefeated

Despite taking an extended break after coming home from the successful campaign at Flashpoint 1, another one of the tournament's favorites, HAVU, started off the group stage in great form with three victories in three matches, but losses to Giants and Nordavind in the second round saw the Finns give up first place to the Nordic mixture.

Meanwhile, Heretics enter playoffs as perhaps the strongest-looking side not only because of their impressive run to a top-six placing in Road to Rio but also as the only team to go undefeated in the group stage at BLAST Rising, where they've so far faced AVEZ, Secret, and sAw.

The playoffs will begin with the quarter-finals on Monday and Tuesday, with the semi-finals being scheduled for Thursday, followed by the grand final on Friday.

Below you can find the quarter-final matchups and schedule:

Monday, May 18th
17:00 - United Kingdom Endpoint vs. Poland AVEZ
20:45 - Europe Nordavind vs. Bulgaria FATE

Tuesday, May 19th
17:00 - Sweden Japaleno vs. Finland HAVU
20:45 - France Heretics vs. Germany ALTERNATE aTTaX
