Red Bull Flick Finland winners disqualified for cheating
The winning duo of the Finnish Finals of Red Bull Flick has been disqualified from the 2v2 tournament after FACEIT ruled that they were cheating.
Red Bull announced on Wednesday that woldes and jezayyyy were both banned following "a technical update" released this morning by FACEIT, the platform where the qualifiers are being held.
The players in question were part of a team called boss osuja who came through the qualifying stages and also beat an ENCE duo made up of Aleksi "allu" Jalli and Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen in a showmatch. Shortly after the tournament was over, video clips questioning the duo's legitimacy began to circulate (one of which has already topped 100,000 views on YouTube), which prompted Red Bull to announce that FACEIT would investigate the matter fully.

FACEIT blames a "technical issue introduced by last week's release" for the fact that the boss osuja duo went undetected for so long. According to the gaming platform, the problem created a delay for the pair to be banned "alongside 80 other players involved in other competitions".
eNhAnCeD, who had finished in second place in the Finnish Finals, will move on to the European closed qualifier, scheduled for May 30, in boss osuja's place. The top two duos from this tournament will progress to the Red Bull Flick Invitational, in which €20,000 ($22,000) will be on offer.
Players from G2, BIG and OG will be taking part in this tournament, which will be played in a new game mode called Hold the Flag, developed in house by Red Bull. Two slots will be available through James "BARDOLPH" Bardolph's open qualifier, which will be held on Friday.
