SKADE bench Rock1nG and rafftu; add Duplicate and Oxygen
SKADE have updated their all-Bulgarian roster with the additions of Viktor "Duplicate" Mitev and Blagoi "Oxygen" Dimitrov, with the duo of Ivan "Rock1nG" Stratiev and Kostadin "rafftu" Turbinov moved to the bench.
The Bulgarian team have opted to revamp the lineup following a period of uninspiring results across several weeks of play in the Home Sweet Home Cups and other tournaments.
Since locking down a spot in ESEA MDL S34 through Season 33’s relegation event in mid-April, SKADE have been unsuccessful in building on previous performances, resulting in a drop of more than 20 spots in the ranking.
Duplicate's contract with FATE had expired last month, but he was offered a new deal as the organisation rebuilt the team — meaning that SKADE had to buy him out. On the other hand, Oxygen, who had stood in for the team in the past, was picked up on a free transfer.
"I feel pretty bad that our start lineup didn't work out in the end, as Rock1nG and Rafftu are great guys, but something needed to change," team captain Teodor "SPELLAN" Nikolov said in a statement.
"I'm extra motivated to work with the new lineup. I believe we can achieve great things with Oxygen and Duplicate as they are both interesting fresh talents!"
SKADE are already off to winning ways since the addition of the two young players following a 16-8 victory over AGF in WINNERS League Season 4 Europe, in which they currently hold a 3-1 record. The team will look to end their two-game losing streak in ESEA MDL when they take on ALTERNATE aTTaX on June 19.
With these changes, SKADE now have:
