BLAST Premier Spring Finals match-ups announced

BLAST has announced the opening match-ups and the complete schedule for the Premier Spring Finals in Europe and North America.

Twelve teams, eight in Europe and four in North America, will compete from June 15-21 in the last stage of the BLAST Premier Spring season, with $750,000 on the line across the two tournaments.

There is still one spot up for grabs in the European Finals, which will go to the winner of Monday's Play-in match between MAD Lions and NiP, the two losing semi-finalists of the region's Showdown tournament.

Vitality will face G2 in the first round of the playoffs

In Europe, all eyes will be on the French derby between G2 and Vitality. The two teams last met in the ESL One: Road to Rio lower bracket final, with Nemanja "nexa" Isaković's troops taking the victory in a keenly-contested series in which all three maps went the full distance.

The North American Finals will begin with a mouth-watering all-Brazilian contest between FURIA and MIBR. Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's team won the last match between the two teams but they have yet to beat their domestic rivals in series after losing five straight best-of-three clashes against Andrei "arT" Piovezan's side.

Below you can find the opening match-ups for the two tournaments:

Europe:

France G2 vs. France Vitality
Europe FaZe vs. Finland ENCE
Russia Natus Vincere vs. Denmark MAD Lions / Sweden NiP
Europe Complexity vs. Europe OG

Americas:

Brazil FURIA vs. Brazil MIBR
United States Liquid vs. United States Evil Geniuses

I think it is because Liquid is #1 seed (they were already qualified all the way from Premier) and EG #4 seed (last team to qualify on Blast NA)
2020-06-12 19:49
oh yeah that makes sense but its kinda annoying to see that match up every fcking tournament
2020-06-12 20:51
What do you expect from an 8 team region?
2020-06-12 21:45
?????????? 8 teams doesnt mean they gotta face each other every fucking match mibr played with 100 thieves like what? once? twice at the maximum?
2020-06-12 21:49
I mean. That's just because the draw. EG has played 100T 3 times in the past month and a half (Same with Gen.G and Cloud 9)

2020-06-12 18:43
furia is like the only good team there, they should move to eu and do bootcamps here like complexity did
2020-06-12 18:47
They will do it, the problem that there is covid outthere
2020-06-12 18:57
they need to, they can't get better by playing a bunch of bad teams
2020-06-12 19:01
I know, they said it. Also mibr said that the trainings are not that good 'cause there aren't that much teams to train and the good ones they always face at these online events.
2020-06-12 19:17
they will move to EU after covid stuff I guess, they definitely should.
2020-06-12 19:50
liquid furia and 100t are the only good na teams sadly liquid is in a slump compared to 2018-2019 furia is prob the most consistent "na" team rn and 100t just got a new coach rest are all trash lmao

But FURIA and mibr ALWAYS end up being paired against each other, it's against all the odds... tournaments do it on purpose because they know it is the match that get most viewers.

thats because liquid is 1st, furia 2nd, mibr 3rd and eg 4th 1st face 4th 2nd face 3rd
2020-06-12 19:07
I love that you brazil Think so much of your teams :D EZ for Liquid, the only top tier team in NA. Furia just had some good online games, thats all. Relax
2020-06-12 19:50
ofc it is good for the views but it is because the seeds were 1st Liquid (best team qualified due to Blast Premier resuts) 2nd/3rd MIBR and FURIA (qualified from Blast NA) 4th EG (they played with GenG for the last spot on Blast NA)

Finally back to bo3 grand final. Thank god "We're looking at a long day of counter strike boys it's a best of five! Team A starts one map up though!" *Team A wins first map "Oh it looks like this series could be over they just need one more map" *Team A wins second map "They trashed them in a best of five!" FOH with that bullshit.
