zoneR leaves Hard Legion
zoneR had been a long-time member of the Russian team, having joined up with Svyatoslav "svyat" Dovbakh and co. in October 2018 in DreamEaters, with whom he helped reach the StarLadder Berlin Major, in which the team achieved a 15-16th-place finish before leaving the organisation shortly after.
Less than a month later, Hard Legion picked up zoneR and the ex-DreamEaters team as the players and coach reunited. The Russian squad has yet to hit its former heights of a Major appearance, but the 32-year-old has coached his side to a series of third places in domestic events and a victory at MEGOGO Open, as well as to 28th place in the world rankings.
Hard Legion’s mixed results have persisted in 2020 as a top-three finish at ESL One: Road to Rio - CIS was followed up by an uninspiring performance at the second RMR event, WePlay! Clutch Island, where the Russian side ended the tournament in the bottom two.
