FURIA eliminate MIBR from cs_summit 6 North America
FURIA trounced MIBR in a dominant two-map series to eliminate Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's troops from cs_summit 6 North America in last place.
Andrei "arT" Piovezan's side claimed revenge against their Brazilian rivals after conceding their first series loss to them in the BLAST Premier Spring Americas Finals, securing one-sided victories on Vertigo and Inferno to advance to the Group A decider match, where they now await the loser of the winners' match between EG and Liquid.
The loss leaves MIBR in a difficult position as they now reside in seventh place in the RMR rankings with 1187.5 points. Above them are the likes of Liquid, FURIA, Evil Geniuses, and 100 Thieves, with only the top five teams qualifying following the conclusion of the final RMR event in Autumn.
The rivalry between the two Brazilian rosters kicked off in style as arT took three in the opening pistol of Vertigo, knifing a defusing FalleN to give his team the economic advantage. Doubles from Alencar "trk" Rossato and Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe allowed MIBR to fight back with a force-buy, with an ensuing conversion giving them their second to take the lead. However, FURIA kept up the pressure with another force-buy, with arT entrying two players with a MAC-10 to swing momentum back in the favour of FURIA and crush MIBR's money. From there, arT continued to find opening picks with his relentless aggression, combining with stellar rifling from the rest of the roster as MIBR mustered just two additional rounds in the half for an 11-4 scoreline.

Early attacks on the B site aided MIBR in an effort to fight back into the map, taking four straight as the second half got underway to double their round count. Once FURIA had AWPs in hand though, MIBR were unable to find their footing, with arT and Henrique "HEN1" Teles continuing to press their advantage with aggressive duels to allow FURIA to close out the map in fast fashion, 16-8.
A USP-S quadruple kill from Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo kept FURIA in control as MIBR's pick of Inferno got underway, with arT and Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato adding four frag rounds of their own to help FURIA to a 6-0 start. MIBR finally got on the board with one of their own, but a rapid response from FURIA kept arT and his troops in control as they once again ran up a dominant first half lead, leaving their Brazilian rivals with only four rounds to their name as the sides swapped over.
arT and Yuri "yuurih" Santos combined to take the second pistol of Inferno for FURIA, converting against MIBR's force-buy and eco to sit upon a 14-4 scoreline. Doubles from FalleN and kNgV- gave MIBR the chance to reply with two rounds of their own, but a quad kill and 1vs3 clutch from yuurih crushed any last vestiges of hope for FalleN's side as FURIA closed out the series with a 16-6 map win.
