Renegades confirm mithR addition

The Danish coach Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg who trialed for Renegades in May has now officially joined the team, the organization has announced.

mithR and Renegades linked up for of the first Regional Major Ranking event, ESL One: Road to Rio - Oceania, with the Dane filling in the coach position for the Australian team that has been vacant since the departure of Neil "NeiL_M" Murphy. Following a two-week trial period, mithR started working with the team in June, and has now penned a deal with Renegades.

The former North coach has signed for Renegades

Christopher "dexter" Nong and co. won 11 of the 13 series they played since starting their cooperation with the Danish tactician, who has been working with the team remotely, confirming their dominance in the region by winning ESL One: Road to Rio - Oceania and DreamHack Masters Spring - Oceania, and placing second in the ESL ANZ Championship S11, after a 3-1 loss to ORDER.

Despite their good run in Oceania, lack of international play set Renegades on a freefall in the rankings, going from #20 in February to their current rank of #48. The Australian squad will have to wait until the player break is over to try and recover lost ground. Renegades have a spot in the ESL Pro League Season 12, but whether they will be able to compete in the tournament against the best teams in the world depends largely on the coronavirus pandemic and the measures that will be employed to combat it come September.

Renegades are now:

Australia Christopher "dexter" Nong
Australia Liam "malta" Schembri
Australia Joshua "INS" Potter
Australia Jordan "Hatz" Bajic
New Zealand Simon "Sico" Williams

Denmark Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg (coach)

wasting? thats the best he could ever hope for tbh the guy was cringeAF in north, throwing around highfives everytime someone just dropped a weapon 😆 watching the body language on the plaýers while he was around them was just uncomfortable.
2020-07-02 12:09
well his departure hasn't helped North tho, on the contrary?
2020-07-02 12:41
That is absolutely correct sir. North is really struggling and there is no clear answer to how they will reach top5 in the world again :/ But one thing was for sure, he had to go. the dynamic between the players and coach was totally off and it was so painfull to watch at times.

2020-07-02 12:08
who
2020-07-02 12:13
Which doesn't change the fact that they have Hatz, who I didn't really hear much about, and they lack firepower overall. mithR is ok coach, good addtition. Still I don't think he will make this team good.
2020-07-02 12:15
Hatz had a very nice rating in the Au/Oce leagues before joining Renegades. He was a part of ORDER when it was the most promising Au roster after 100 Thieves (former renegades)
2020-07-02 12:19
Rn. his rating is 0.96 and I don't see anything special in him, just a weak player.

His rating is .96 and their winrate is .84 ohhh "who I didn't really hear much about" thats so sad damn... Maybe be they should change him for... Who? Oh u will probably never answer this question because u dont even know any au players (sadly that it didnt stop u from writing itt)
2020-07-02 13:00
I think they should change him. And actually I know a lot of AU players.

Hatz was easily the best player they could get at the time, since joining renegades tho his stats have dropped a bit. Probably in a bit more of a supportive role
2020-07-04 11:48
Is he really a supportive player? I don't think Renegades has a proper support player.
