OG overcome GODSENT; to face Heroic in cs_summit 6 lower-bracket final

The three map series saw OG and GODSENT trade map picks before the former squad secured the series on Nuke to continue their lower-bracket run at cs_summit 6.

GODSENT improved their 8% winrate on Inferno after today's series as they showed a dominant game on GODSENT's map pick, winning it 16-7, but failed to show up on two of their staple maps that followed, Overpass and Nuke, which went OG's way. Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski and Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt were outstanding across the series and ensured OG a place in the lower-bracket final against Heroic. Despite the elimination, GODSENT will be playing another match in cs_summit 6, the 5-6th place decider against fnatic.

OG started Inferno by winning the pistol round and edging out the following force buy, but GODSENT's decision to double down with a consecutive force paid off, seeing them push into the lead. Playing on the CT side, GODSENT were proactive and caused a lot of issues to Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen's team, who found themselves 7-3 down shortly. mantuu's triple got them their fourth, but Pavle "Maden" Bošković turned around a 3v5 that saw GODSENT regain control of the half.

With an 11-4 deficit going into the second half, OG won the much-needed pistol, only to again falter to a force buy and Martin "STYKO" Styk's triple. At 14-6, mantuu held down A with a quad kill to keep his team alive, but GODSENT closed out Inferno with a low-buy B push, securing a resounding 16-8 win.

mantuu recorded another standout performance for OG (1.56 rating)

Moving on to Overpass, OG looked good to start it off, claiming a 4-1 lead before a 4v2 anti-eco loss gave GODSENT some momentum. Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend's men narrowed the gap down to one round, 5-4, but OG bounced back and made the scoreline 8-4 after NBK-'s ace. GODSENT then added one more to the tally, but being in a poor state economically made it hard for them to challenge the defenders, seeing OG move up to 10 before the switch.

GODSENT's CT pistol gamble didn't pay off, resulting in OG extending up to a 13-5 lead, after which STYKO gave a lifeline to his team with back-to-back multikills. However, mantuu's clutch broke his opponents resistance and saw Overpass concluded in favor of OG, 16-7.

Things were concluded on Nuke, where GODSENT looked good to take control on the T side, but four close rounds in a row going OG's way, followed by an eco victory, gave Aleksib's men a 9-5 lead. Maden's 1v2 clutch to close out the half and Asger "Farlig" Jensen's three USP-S kills seemingly got GODSENT back into it (9-7), but a subsequent anti-force loss took the wind out of their sails. OG built onto that, and with NBK- leading the fragging, closed out the map 16-8.

lucky for OG, GODSENT would've smashed if NBK didn't have his 1 in a 100 game
2020-07-02 22:02
Tbh I'm a fan of Godsent but they're most likely going to the major and I also want OG stickers but yes, Godsent overall is a better team
2020-07-02 22:05
godsent overall better team- losing- pick one
2020-07-02 22:07
godsent is overall better team, OG was "lucky" that NBK had good game and Mantuu carried like god.
2020-07-02 23:05
But issaa and aleksib didnt show up like yesterday for example
2020-07-03 10:15
True but maden and farlig also didnt show up, overal i just think godsent is better team and OG had better day
2020-07-03 16:42
Imo they are equal
2020-07-03 18:46
hard to say but OG has been together for longer than godsents current lineup
2020-07-04 00:26
But -maikelele +farlig made them instantly 2 times better
2020-07-04 12:07
Yes and now godsent is completly changeing their playstyle so?
2020-07-04 15:12
but they started doing instatly better when farlig joined so seems like they adapted well they won vs g2, mouse to top their group
2020-07-04 15:27
with maikelele no chance winning g2
2020-07-04 15:27
so you actually admit godsent might be better than OG?
2020-07-04 15:37
im saying that they are on the same level
2020-07-04 15:54
you know what leave it, we wont agree.
2020-07-04 16:02
youre delusional if you think dogsent is better than og

FIRST WE PULL THE SLIMA THAN WE GIVE THE MATTO ALTA I have no idea whatever what means.
2020-07-02 22:14
This is a direct translation; FIRST WE GIVE SIIMA THEN WE PULL THE MATTO ALTA First we give the fishing line (we give the opponents a chance) Then we pull the rug (from under their feet)
2020-07-02 22:22
"First we give the siima and then we pull the matto alta." Basically "First we give some slack (as in for slack in fishing line for the fish) and then we pull the carpet from under their feet."
2020-07-02 22:28
First we give them siima (a drink) before we pull the rug under their feet.

deserved win, but 5/6th place is good enough for godsent to be in a good spot to qualify for the major. They can be happy overall I think

2020-07-02 22:04
ok now we go through the golden head
2020-07-02 22:04

OG can be solid TOP 30 team, however I don't think they will re-enter TOP 20 with this roster. GODSENT won't be good with BOT kRYSTAL in the team. I think OG still will lose to Heroic in lower bracket final.
