reatz steps down from Illuminar
The 25-year-old is taking a break from gaming after losing his hunger to play in recent weeks.
Paweł "reatz" Jańczak announced on Sunday that he had been moved to the bench on Illuminar. In a Facebook post, the Polish player revealed that he requested some time off after realizing that he was no longer 100 percent committed to the team, who are still competing in some online tournaments during the player break.
"I know that this may be my worst decision, but I feel that at the moment my mental state is far from what it was like," he wrote.
reatz has been with Illuminar since September 2019, when the organisation signed the former x-kom lineup. The team picked up two titles shortly after signing with Illuminar, at Games Clash Masters and at the ESL Polish Championship Autumn Finals, but results have been inconsistent in recent months despite the high-profile addition of former Major champion Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski.
Karol "rallen" Rodowicz will be standing in for Illuminar for the foreseeable future. The 26-year-old, who has been without a team since the disbandment of ARCY in January, played his first match for Snax's side earlier on Monday in a 1-2 defeat to Syman in the Nine to Five 1 playoffs.
Illuminar, who will begin on Tuesday their run in Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 3, currently have:
Paweł "innocent" Mocek
Mikołaj "mouz" Karolewski
Arek "Vegi" Nawojski
Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski
Adrian "imd" Pieper (coach)
Michał "mono" Gabszewicz (benched)
Paweł "reatz" Jańczak (benched)
