Movistar Riders bench EasTor
Movistar Riders have put Rajohn "EasTor" Linato on the transfer list ahead of the coming season.
EasTor has announced that he is exploring options outside of Movistar Riders while still under contract with the organization, which HLTV.org has confirmed is a result of the player being sidelined from the team. The benching will be delayed, however, as the 26-year-old will play at least one more event with the Spanish side, the ESEA MDL Season 34 Relegation, set to take place on August 18-20.
EasTor's move to the bench puts an end to a year-long stint in the squad, the AWPer was brought on to replace Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas when the latter departed Movistar Riders to travel back to North America and sign with Cloud9 this time last year.
During his time on the team, EasTor had a 1.02 rating and was part of the roster that made 5-6th place at DreamHack Open Sevilla and the Champions Cup Finals in Malta. He also helped Riders qualify for the ESL One Rio Europe Minor through the event's closed qualifier, although the event never took place due to the coronavirus outbreak. Since, Movistar Riders earned 1225 RMR points and sit 14th in the European standings.
Movistar Riders had a rough first half of 2020, especially as the year advanced, ending 14th in ESEA MDL Season 34 and underperforming in several smaller online tournaments, winning only the local ESL Masters CS:GO Season 7, which prompted the organization to decided to make changes during the off-season.
EasTor will play a handfull of matches with Movistar Riders in the ESEA Season 34 Relegation, where he will try and help the squad secure a spot in the upcoming season of ESEA's top division before ending his time on the team and starting a new chapter in his career.
Movistar Riders are currently:
Alejandro "alex" Masanet
Alejandro "mopoz" Fernández-Quejo Cano
Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran
Lucas "steel" Lopes
Galder "bladE" Barcena (coach)
Rajohn "EasTor" Linato (benched)
