Endpoint and forZe stay alive at DH Open Summer, MAD Lions and Spirit eliminated

Endpoint and forZe have been handed tournament lifelines after dispatching of MAD Lions and Spirit in Group A and B's elimination matches.

Endpoint managed to bounce back from an excruciating loss to BIG in their Group A opening match, in which they let an overtime lead slip on map two before getting wiped out in the decider map, with a 2-1 triumph over MAD Lions to keep their tournament hopes alive. Max "MiGHTYMAX" Heath's troops are now set to battle it out with the loser of BIG and Heroic for a place in the playoffs.

Endpoint failed to get their footing in the best-of-three series versus the Danish squad on Vertigo, where Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand led a 16-0 decimation with a 2.11 rating, but the British squad recomposed moving forward to claim the series victory with wins on Mirage (16-8) and Train (16-14) and eliminate MAD Lions in last place in Paweł "innocent" Mocek’s debut event.

almazer spearheaded forZe's win with a 1.30 series rating

In Group B’s elimination match, forZe squared off against Spirit in a CIS clash. Andrey "Jerry" Mekhryakov’s men struck first with a solid all-round performance on Inferno before Spirit hit straight back on their map pick of Nuke to level the tie, with a strong T half setting the pace for a 16-5 scoreline.

Dust2 was left to determine the victor and forZe came out swinging with each player pulling their weight on the way to a dominant 16-9 win and a 1.27 team rating to lock down a spot in the group's lower bracket final, where they will face the loser of Complexity and OG.

Spirit watdoink Massive props to Endpoint though, coming back to win the 2nd game after being completely run over in the first map and making a comeback again in 3rd map. Takes a lot of mental strength

forze and spirit are on the same level

certainly not before the player break though. Spirit were clearly the second best CIS team back then while Forze was losing to everyone. Spirit defeated EU`s T2 Godsent and almost took down Faze as well. Forze have been looking good lately though.
2020-08-10 20:09
I’d say Spirit was the best CIS team at that moment. And i agree with u.

i mean NaVi did have a bad first RMR event but they defeated Spirit in the 2nd`s final soo ....
2020-08-10 21:23
And spirit beat NaVi. Spirit was much more consistent at that point of time, hence my comment.

I get what you are saying but i cant recall any instance during that time when Spirit defeated NaVI ? They only clashed once , in the final where NaVi defeated them uncontested

Endpoint are showing a little bit of life left, I think they still can make this roster work without changes. forZe have some potential, with small change they could be really good. For me MAD Lions should build a new lineup around acoR and innocent because this one is a total failure. Spirit have potential, maybe they need a coach change or something, but overall the player 5 looks really good for me.
2020-08-10 21:16
I'd add sjuush to that core. He's pretty good. I don't know about innocent though. He seems to be a somewhat panic move after bubskij left and I could see them go full danish again if it doesn't work out.

innocent is really good bro. And honestly I think they should build fully international roster around acoR and innocent as I said.

flag checks out lets destroy a whole lineup for a player like innocent madlions as a core had a great potential. There are a lot of good danish players that can try to replace bubzki instead of destroying whole team by going for english communication for 1 player , and that player isnt even close to be a tier1-2 player

If not Bubzkji and acoR this roster would never achieve anything. Going fully international is the best chance for them, there are better international players possible to get than in Denmark.

you do realise that whole team played good when they were winning something relevant? replacing bubzki isnt easy , but they could try few players. I dont think there are free international players that can be better , and i dont think madlions would buy any of the players that are contracted.Even if madlions would eventually build international lineup and put money on table , then letting innocent stay in this lineup would be dumb , cuz he isnt tier 1-2 potential

They bought innocent from his contract, why do you think they would not buy other players? Also it's obvious that adding innocent is just the beggining of rebuild in MAD Lions. And innocent is a really good player, he is T2 player atleast.
