ESL One Cologne fantasy games live with prizes

Users can now create their fantasy teams for the European and North American divisions of ESL's showpiece tournament and compete for cash and skin prizes, all courtesy of CS.MONEY.

Moved to an online-only format and split into regional divisions because of the coronavirus pandemic, ESL One Cologne 2020 will kick off on Tuesday in Europe and North America, with $460,000 on offer across the two tournaments. The Asian and Oceanic divisions will begin only next week, both featuring a $20,000 prize pool.

In ESL One Cologne, BIG, who offer two budget options in Nils "⁠k1to⁠" Gruhne ($196,000) and Tizian "⁠tiziaN⁠" Feldbusch ($197,000), will face a more stacked field that includes two teams trying out their new rosters: FaZe, who recruited Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye ($191,000), and Astralis, who signed Patrick "⁠es3tag⁠" Hansen ($203,000) and Lucas "⁠Bubzkji⁠" Andersen ($212,000).

Over in North America, all eyes will be on Evil Geniuses, who went into the break as the undisputed No 1 team in the region after winning the BLAST Premier Spring Finals and cs_summit 6. Ethan "⁠Ethan⁠" Arnold, who finished the RMR tournament with a 1.24 rating, offers great value at $208,000, while Liquid's newest recruit, Michael "⁠Grim⁠" Wince, comes in at $247,000, making him the most expensive player in the game.
