ESL Pro League Season 12 final teams in North and South America announced

ESL has announced the final participants in the North American and South American divisions of ESL Pro League Season 12.

With MIBR competing in Europe, the last three participants in the North American division are hardly surprising, as Gen.G, Cloud9, and Chaos — who have just made it to the playoffs at ESL One Cologne with wins against FURIA and 100 Thieves — rounded out the team list.

Over in South America, the last team who is set to participate in the division is the lineup which until early August competed as Redemption POA, now playing under the Havan Liberty banner.

Cloud9 return to Pro League after missing out on Season 11

After assessing the global situation over the summer, on Thursday ESL confirmed that Pro League would be held online across five divisions for the second time in a row. The 12th season is slated to kick off on September 22 in the Americas and will have $225,000 on offer in North America and $25,000 in South America.

The following 12 teams will compete in the Americas divisions:

North America

South America

EZ for Chaos!

The EU one is going on for a bit over a month. I wonder what MIBR will do in EU during that month since they didn't qualify for EPL. According to Liquipedia they failed to get high enough on the ESL ranking to play the event.

At this point they can put a MIBR as 17th team just as a warm up for other teams.

Worst warmup ever. You'll most likely just learn bad habits like dry peaking getting a 4k and getting toxic when you don't clutch in 1vx

It doesn't need to count as a win, y'know... Do you know when you give a unplugged controller to your younger brother to trick him he's playing? ESL can do the same with MIBR.

Mibr disband

Glad to see teams like Chaos and Triumph doing so well currently. NA needs more good teams+players if they want to compete with EU.
