Envy confirm Thomas signing
The British player has been recruited by the Dallas-based organisation to round out the roster ahead of Flashpoint 2.
Envy have completed the signing of Thomas "Thomas" Utting from Endpoint, the North American organisation announced on Thursday. The 22-year-old's arrival completes the overhaul of Envy's squad, which has been inactive since the qualifier for cs_summit 6 North America, almost three months ago.
Thomas is best known for his brief tenure in 2019 with NoChance, the core of which currently represents GODSENT. He attended the Europe Minor with that team, before moving on to Phoenix and eventually Endpoint in January this year.
The British player will fill the last vacant spot on the roster following the departures of Kaleb "moose" Jayne and Ryan "ryann" Welsh last month. Team coach Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić transitioned to an active player role, with former Virtus.pro coach Jakub "kuben" Gurczynski taking over from the German.
It is currently unclear when the new Envy roster will be making its first official appearance. The team will be competing in the second edition of Flashpoint — which doesn't have a starting date set yet — hoping to improve on the 11th-place finish from season 1.
