Isurus add JonY BoY
The 28-year-old will soon make his debut for the Argentine squad as they kick off their Tribo to Major campaign on Sunday.
Jonathan "JonY BoY" Muñoz has been recruited to round out the roster of Isurus, the Argentine organisation announced on Saturday. He comes in as a replacement for Gabriel "1962" Sinopoli, who was recently moved to the bench due to personal reasons.
JonY BoY spent two years under the x6tence banner, competing in Spain alongside Nicolas "NikoM" Miozzi, Tomás "tomi" Guardia, and Matias "tutehen" Canale. The team was released in June, just weeks before the Spanish organisation signed the former Copenhagen Flames squad, and briefly competed under the ARG tag.
JonY BoY, who was part of the Argentina squad that finished in second place at the World Championships 2016 in Belgrade, has averaged a 0.99 rating over 13 maps in 2020, form which he will look to improve upon as he makes his way on to Isurus.
His experience may provide a crucial boon to the team as they prepare for the Tribo to Major, in which they will take on BOOM in their opening match-up, scheduled for Sunday. Three days later, they will also kick off their ESL Pro League Season 12 campaign, taking on Sharks in the opening round of the tournament.
