ImpressioN leaves BTRG

The Singaporean IGL has stepped down from BTRG citing a breach of contract by the organization.

Anthony "ImpressioN" Lim has announced that he is parting ways with BTRG after the Chinese organization breached the terms of their contract. The 24-year-old joined BTRG in March of 2019 shortly after closing a chapter in BOOT-d[S].

ImpressioN averaged a 1.10 rating during his time in BTRG, all the while leading the team and taking on some managerial duties, which eventually ended up being too much for the Singaporean player to handle despite "good performances on a individual level and pretty alright results on a team level," as he put it in his statement.

ImpressioN will take some time off to recover and plan his next steps

"As I'm the only Chinese speaking player in the team, I was basically tasked to be the middleman between the org and the CS:GO team," ImpressioN said, "it was necessary for me to communicate with the org while arranging prac, settling daily tasks/goals for prac, fixing mistakes while maintaining my own personal play time and etc. was really too much of a burden to shoulder."

Things got better with the addition of coach Piyangoon "MYM" Kitisin in July, but ImpressioN still decided he needs some time to recover. "Having to juggle my workload a la Cirque du Soleil was far from productive," he stated, "and personally it has become a form of unnecessary stress that despite me doing what I felt was 'handling it well' it has definitely taken a toll on my mental, physical and emotional state."

ImpressioN didn't give details about matters regarding the breach of contract, but said that "the issues have yet to be fixed despite us working on it together. There has been too many delays and the work efficiency is nonexistent."

ImpressioN ended his missive stating that he is now entering the free agent pool and hopes to remain tied to CS by joining another team as a player, coach or analyst.

BTRG are now:

Korea Hyun-Pyo "XigN" Lee
Indonesia Kevin "xccurate" Susanto
Thailand Kritthee "Geniuss" Sawatmuang
Indonesia Kevin "Eeyore" Gunawan

Thailand Piyangoon "MYM" Kitisin (coach)

Tyloo did some crazy things
2020-09-23 11:50
Pretty sure even in Tyloo, xccurate didnt speak much chinese (could also be one of the reason he left tyloo), thus why Bntet was reported igling in three languages
2020-09-23 12:31
bntet with that 3 language igling is the definition of a fucking mad man
2020-09-23 13:22
+1 the only chinese xcc and bntet knows is very basic and callouts. They can't chat with chinese

I don't think the rest of the roster will stay for long. Impression is the one that assemble them together. Sadly, currently in SEA tournament scene valorant growth seem better than csgo. It won't be long players jump the ship like Korea and there'll be China and Mongolia left for Asia. Valve and big TO has been neglecting asia region. 4 team participant for tourney is a joke.
2020-09-23 14:23
+1 they only invite the same teams every time, so teams like BTRG get so little chance to actually play in a high profile tourney

2020-09-23 15:47
He is insane, he will find a new team with ez. Building a team around the core of ImpressioN, XigN and xccurate would still be great for me, but I understand his decision. Now BTRG should rebuild around XigN and xccurate.
