mousesports round out DreamHack Open Fall team list

The European side came in fifth place of the closed qualifier to lock down the last spot at the main Regional Major Ranking event.

Finn "karrigan" Andersen's squad had to come back from two separate losses to Endpoint at the tournament, in the first round of the upper bracket and in the lower bracket semi-finals, with the latter loss putting mousesports into a last-chance match against Movistar Riders for fifth place.

The Spain-based squad was no match to Robin "ropz" Kool on the first map, Inferno, where the Estonian put up a 1.95 rating en route to a swift victory. He went on to play a key role in the much closer Nuke, as well, ensuring a 2-0 win for mousesports as the European mixture came back from a 10-15 deficit on the second map to win in overtime.

mousesports move on to DH Open Fall after a shaky qualifier run

Securing fifth place at the closed qualifier, mousesports will join the brunt of Europe's best teams at the main event. There, karrigan & co. will hope to make up for a rather poor record in the RMR circuit so far, as they're currently sitting in 15th place of the ranking with 770 points.

The main part of DreamHack Open Fall will run from October 15-25 and will have $115,000 on offer as well as a spot at the $500,000 IEM Global Challenge tournament taking place in Cologne.

I agree, he is not supposed to be the star player, but to help set the others for success and do his job. People still don't understand that...
2020-09-26 01:14
it's not about being a star player, sure you have the system of an igl, lurker, support implemented in your team in some way, but it's not possible to make it as an excuse when you make dumb plays like over extending when it is not needed or can't win duels you're supposed to win. Star player or not, it's a decision making that makes the difference - check ropz's game style 2 yrs ago and now.. what has changed? He still plays a B anchor when on CT - usually alone and most of the time he gets at least 2 or more frags before going down... on the other hand chrisj plays with frozen or someone on a CT side often can't win a simple 1v1 cause he goes for some MM peek, probably thinking "they won't expect me to do this"... I am not saying kick him because he's more than a player on a server mainly due to his long relationship with mouz org and the core of it's csgo team but daaaamn... he gotta try to be more reliable in certain situations
2020-09-26 12:59
Karrigan and Chrisj are both grinding hard atm to get in better shape as well, to get their old shape back. Karrigan does around 2-4 hours of extra awp training almost everyday and Chris is no-lifing as well
2020-09-26 13:05
I am not denying that, it's good for the team. In the end if they want to stay competitive in the t1 scene they have to be grinding, because it won't get any easier for anyone as you can already see the newcomers making their way and no matter how big of a reputation your nickname has in the scene sooner or later if you're not performing/adapting or inventing, you're gonna get steam rolled by players that can do what you couldn't or can't. I do not want to repeat myself therefore I think that what I wrote in the 1st comment is more than understandable for anyone who's watched mouz play more than 1 bo3, isn't it?

2020-09-25 22:48
You really thought they had a chance?
2020-09-25 23:22
they are in better for than mouz rn, sadly they always choke
2020-09-25 23:43
I will be happy if sAw doesn't stay in the last places. Anything else will be a great result.
2020-09-25 22:50
+1 getting a bo3 win against any top15 team would be the dream tbh
2020-09-25 23:26
They have to at least be on top of endpoint and mousesports because currently, they are above them. If they manage a win against other teams, it is a great outcome, even if they stay in the 13th-14th place.
2020-09-25 23:31
i would like to finally see a win against sprout ngl
2020-09-25 23:52
honestly, I think sprout right now are top 12 level, and sAw are top 35 level. For them to win right now they would have to study them and form a countermeasure.
2020-09-26 00:12
on top of mousesports hhahha delusional penaldo judging mouse based on qualification even tho they beat number 1 in the world couple days ago in t1 tournament... roflmao so dumb
2020-09-26 13:54
I am delusional? So some time ago sAw won against Vitality fair and square. Were they better than them? No, so you come here telling me a team that won against the number one online team in the world is still a good team? That lost twice to Endpoint which also lost twice to sAw? I dont like bait man, but if you gonna bait, try a good one.
2020-09-26 17:07
sure thats why mouse won vs complexity, fnatic and faze as well... holy shit u r just dumb penaldo saw fan, cya braindead gypsy

As a Portuguese and sAw fan, I like when sAw have to play against Endpoint :) For what I've seen, there are some teams that sAw can win, like: . mousesports . Heroic . Faze . Fnatic . Endpoint I hope I have triggered a lot of people. Peace
