ImpressioN unveiled as first member of new international Asian team
The 24-year-old IGL has found a new home a week after parting ways with BTRG.
Anthony "ImpressioN" Lim was on Monday unveiled as the first member of the Asian roster that is being put together by Thai organization NG, joining the new project one week after cutting ties with BTRG, the team he had been representing for the past 16 months.
The Singaporean IGL, who averaged a 1.21 rating in his final two weeks with BTRG, will take charge as the captain and in-game leader of a team that will feature players from several different countries in the region.
"With all of ImpressioN's accomplishments in the realms of CS:GO over the years as well as his recent performances, we believed in him that together we can build a team that could rival the best of the best in Asia or even the world stages in the coming year," NG's statement read.
More details about NG's roster will be revealed in the coming weeks, the Thai organization stated. The team hope to start practicing by mid-October and will ideally be ready in time for the IEM Beijing-Haidan qualifier, with a bootcamp planned for later this year if conditions allow.
"NG has trusted me to lead their project to form up the Asian super team, and for me to be the captain is an absolute honor," ImpressioN told HLTV.org, "I look forward to bringing my very best to this team full of talent as I know the players that I will get the pleasure of playing with are definitely championship material."
