starix to stay with Hard Legion
Despite the 10-month ban handed to him for the coaching bug abuse, Sergey "starix" Ischuk will continue working with the Russian team.
starix's bug abuse dates back to 2017, when he was a part of Natus Vincere, with the news of his ban coming three weeks after he became a part of Hard Legion. For the next 10 months, in ESIC-sanctioned tournaments, he will only be able to help the team outside of a 15-minute window surrounding official matches.
Following his ban becoming public, starix posted on Twitter that he doesn't remember using the bug, saying that there is "nothing to say on my side". However, he did go on to talk about the situation in an interview for gameinside.ua, stating that he agrees with the punishment, and adding that if he really wanted to abuse the bug, he would "use it on a regular basis and could have the maximum profit from this".
starix is Hard Legion's fourth employee to be banned for the coaching bug abuse. In September, they cut ties with both their main coach Aleksandr "zoneR" Bogatiryev and assistent coach Erik "AKIMOV" Akimov, banned for 36 and 7.5 months respectively by ESIC. On Monday, Egor "fuRy^" Morin, the organization's CEO, was also banned by ESIC for abusing the bug while coaching the same group of players in 2018.
