TeamOne, Yeah qualify for DreamHack Masters Winter North America
The two Brazilian squads join Liquid and Evil Geniuses on the team list for the main event.
The closed qualifier for DreamHack Masters Winter North America played out in its entirety on Sunday, seeing the invited sides of TeamOne and Yeah conquer the eight-team, single-elimination bracket to claim the two spots in the tournament that were on offer.
Pedro "Maluk3" Campos's troops started their bracket run with a 2-0 victory over Rugratz, setting up a match against Secret Club, who had just seen to the elimination of paiN. Although a strong showing from 16-year-old Ethan "reck" Serrano saw Secret Club open the series with a win on Inferno, the Brazilian team were swift to answer back as they took their own pick of Train 16-7 before prevailing on the decider of Mirage, earning them a spot in the main event.

Yeah were on the opposite side of the bracket, fielding Tyler "tweiss" Weiss as a stand-in following their recent benching of Alef "tatazin" Pereira. Arthur "f4stzin" Schmitt and company took down New England Whalers in a three-map series to kick off their campaign, and were left facing Triumph for the final tournament spot.
In their match against Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman's troops, Yeah pulled off a pair of comebacks, narrowly recovering from 4-11 and 3-12 deficits on Train and Inferno as they clinched a pair of 16-14 map wins to take the series.
