NaToSaphiX to step in for Complexity in IEM New York

The Danish player will continue acting as a stand-in for the team, who will take on G2 in their first match of the tournament on Tuesday.

Niels-Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen will be Complexity's fifth player in IEM New York's European division, the North American organisation confirmed on Monday. This will be the second tournament in which the Danish player will stand in for the BLAST Premier Europe champions after he was called in as an emergency substitute for the ESL Pro League Season 12 playoffs to replace Owen "oBo" Schlatter, who stepped down from the team.

NaToSaphiX averaged a 0.88 rating in the Pro League playoffs as Complexity beat ENCE before losing to the tournament's eventual finalists, Natus Vincere and Astralis, to finish in 5th-6th place.

NaToSaphiX will continue playing for Complexity alongside blameF

Complexity have been placed in Group A of IEM New York alongside G2, Vitality and fnatic, with their opening match pitting them against Nemanja "nexa" Isaković's side. IEM New York will run between October 6 and 11 in Europe and will have $140,000 on the line.

This means that the European team will compete in the tournament with:

Denmark Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
United States William "RUSH" Wierzba
Denmark Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke
Bulgaria Valentin "poizon" Vasilev
Denmark Niels-Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen (stand-in)

This guy its free-lancer or smth? always stand-in and never play for long time for any team wtf is that? Its like Fetjz.

Because you Pakistan and I am India Jokes apart, I have been watching his stream since 4-5 months. I wouldn't call him a solid T2 player. He's mediocre but can play all roles and weapons - that is why he often falls as a good fit for teams looking for a temporary player

Well I still think that he wouldn't be a bad pick up for any T2 team. Sure he does make mistakes but he can still be a pretty good player on his day.
2020-10-06 16:44
That goes to literally any player in the world

Yes, but not every other player can too frag against a better team on his day. Take his performance against Ence on Overpass for en example where he ended being at the top for his team and they won. Not Konfig , not Poizon, not BlameF, but him against the ones who were the only ones to take down NaVi before. Only reason I won't consider him to be a Top player is because of the basic mistakes he makes.
2020-10-06 18:16
+1 🤦‍♂
2020-10-06 18:17
nah hes just not T1, and with valorant you either need to be the king of T2/T3 or be tier 1
2020-10-05 23:09
So he will be valorant soon
2020-10-05 23:28
maybe, if he does well with coL he can probably get himself a spot on a good danish team, if not at this point he would be a fairly high profile cs player to move over and im sure some org would try to build a team with/around him, but a lot of EU orgs are hesitant to invest in Valorant atm apparently. theres only a few EU orgs with teams right now, NiP and G2 are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. on the other hand in NA all the orgs have teams like c9, tsm, nrg is building one w/ daps, imt, TL, FaZe, etc

Nah, no chance they'd go for jugi. I wanna see how NaTo continues to do with this squad. He was putting up pretty good numbers at EPL though CoL was kinda rattled by the time playoffs came around. I think Owen's departure really hit them hard.
2020-10-06 04:03
"Pretty good number" hltv.org/stats/players/9294/NaToSaphiX?s.. Yeah sure
2020-10-06 08:16
#70 big shoes to fill, not easy for a standin on short notice but he still showed a lot of promise IMO. i think IEM New York will determine his future in the team
2020-10-06 08:37
tbh he had like one good map at EPL but IMO he still showed a lot of promise. but yeah, big shoes to fill, oBo was a pretty important part of the roster. i'm excited to see how he will perform this event, i'd imagine we should see a better performance
2020-10-06 08:37
Damn, it must be wonderful having a hifenated name. So much class... I bet he uses a monocle glass from time to time

He has been playing completely trash, I have no idea why would they take him as a stand-in, I would prefer them to try out emi, a support like him would be lovely for this team.
