floppy transitions to new Cloud9 roster
The 20-year-old will remain in Cloud9 as he has been added to the new, unfinished roster led by Alex "ALEX" McMeekin, the organization has confirmed.
The move was reported by DBLTAP late last month and has been confirmed by Cloud9, whose new team dubbed the "Colossus" now features four players and a coach, with two more set to be signed after General Manager Henry "HenryG" Greer announced his plans to create a six-man roster.
Just like with his previous signings, HenryG has revealed details of Ricky "floppy" Kemery's new contract. With the contract valued at $432,000 over three years and no buyout attached, the newest addition's salary amounts to $12,000 a month.
floppy transitions to the new roster after having been part of the organization since the start of the year, when he transferred to Cloud9 alongside the rest of the American-South African team around Johnny "JT" Theodosiou from ATK.
The 20-year-old has been considered one of North America's biggest prospects to make it to one of the region's top teams. Since he started playing against the best opposition in the region consistently in the latter half of 2019, he has averaged a 1.14 rating and helped his squad place in the top four at tournaments such as Flashpoint 1, ESL One: Road to Rio - North America, and DreamHack Masters Spring - North America.
Cloud9's new roster now is:
Alex "ALEX" McMeekin
William "mezii" Merriman
Özgür "woxic" Eker
Ricky "floppy" Kemery
Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović (coach)
Meanwhile, floppy's departure leaves the South African-American lineup with:
Johnny "JT" Theodosiou
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
Josh "oSee" Ohm
Ian "motm" Hardy
Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (coach)
