DreamHack Open Fall initial matches announced

The next European Regional Major Ranking event is set to start on Thursday, October 15 with the opening matches of the group stage.

The opening round of the group stage will offer several key rematches from recent tournaments. Two will take place in Group A, as Vitality will look to take revenge for their ESL Pro League Season 12 loss to mousesports, while fnatic will be hoping to turn around a poor record against OG.

Meanwhile, BIG and FaZe will clash once again after the German side conceded the matchup for the first time this year at IEM New York, and we will also see a repeat of the all-Danish matchup between Astralis and Heroic following their double encounter in Pro League.

Vitality will play mousesports in one of the opening matces

The tournament will be played from October 15-25, with the group stage featuring a GSL format and the playoffs a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket.

Alongside the $115,000 prizepool, a maximum of 2,500 points in the Regional Major Ranking will be on offer, as well as up to 500 points in the ESL Pro Tour tournament circuit, which will determine teams advancing to the next Masters Championship in Katowice next year.

The opening matchups of DreamHack Open Fall look as follows:

Thursday, October 15
13:00 Sweden NiP vs. Germany Sprout
13:00 Europe GODSENT vs. Portugal sAw
13:00 France Vitality vs. Europe mousesports
16:30 Germany BIG vs. Europe FaZe
16:30 France G2 vs. Europe Endpoint
16:30 Sweden fnatic vs. Europe OG

It wont stop and even then every time the same teams without any real possibility except two teams for other orgs to participate. So fucking boring, you basically have to bet to watch a game.
2020-10-11 09:25
Group A : OG 2-0 fnatic 2-1 Vitality 1-2 mousesports 0-2 Group B Astralis 2-0 Heroic 2-1 Endpoint 1-2 G2 0-2 Group C sAw 2-0 GODSENT 2-1 BIG 1-2 FaZe 0-2 Group D North 2-0 Sprout 2-1 NiP 1-2 ENCE 0-2 I think there is going to be a lot of surprises in this tournament.

sAw is looking great atm., I think they can surprise a lot of ppl in this tournament.
2020-10-11 13:28
Nope they´ll never 2-0´d Godsent. Godsent may have less fire power, but have a better IGL and their really strong on some maps. Expect them to win their map pick.
