Jamppi steps in for HAVU as xseveN is loaned out to ENCE for DH Open Fall
The two teams will temporarily swap players as ENCE will begin their campaign in the RMR tournament.
HAVU have announced that Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen will play for the team in the near future as a replacement for Sami "xseveN" Laasanen, who has been loaned out to ENCE for the duration of DreamHack Open Fall.
The Finnish AWPer is ineligible to compete in the upcoming Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament due to his VAC ban. According to HAVU, his stand-in period will cover "as many matches as possible" within the limits of his other obligations with ENCE.
DreamHack Open Fall will run from October 15-25 and will have $115,000 and a spot at the IEM Global Challenge on offer in addition to RMR points. ENCE are currently fourth in the European RMR standings with 2155 points after finishing top-eight at the StarLadder Major, 9th in ESL One: Road to Rio and 10th in cs_summit 6.
xseveN was on ENCE's books between April 2018 and August 2020, though he spent the last four months of that tenure in a backup role following Jamppi's signing, only playing the two RMR tournaments. He has averaged a 1.07 rating since joining HAVU, in which he reunited with his former teammates Eetu "sAw" Saha and Lasse "ZOREE" Uronen.
HAVU are currently competing in LOOT.BET Season 8, in which they have a 1-0 record after beating Galaxy Racer in their opening match. They are widely expected to receive an invite to compete in the closed qualifier for Flashpoint 2 - scheduled for October 12-14 - after finishing in third place in the first edition of the league to pocket a cheque of $100,000.
