Nivera to join Vitality as sixth player - Report

The 19-year-old made the cut from Vitality's shortlist and will be joining the team soon.

Vitality have agreed on a deal with Heretics to add Nabil "⁠Nivera⁠" Benrlitom to their lineup as the sixth man, according to a report from 1pv.fr. The player will officially be unveiled as a member of Vitality upon signing his contract with the new team, which is expected to be confirmed "very soon".

The talented youngster was one of four players reported to be on Vitality's shortlist, and ended up being selected over his teammate Bryan "⁠Maka⁠" Canda, LDLC's Ali "⁠hAdji⁠" Haïnouss, and K23's Nicolas "⁠Keoz⁠" Dgus.

Nivera has been the second-best performer for Heretics this year, averaging a 1.12 rating, and plays as a hybrid - versatile with both rifles and the AWP. According to the report, he was quickly identified as the target by Rémy "⁠XTQZZZ⁠" Quoniam and his players.

In May, Nivera spoke about stepping out of the shadow of his older brother, Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom, with the renowned Belgian stating that Nivera will keep carrying the family name in Counter-Strike: "I trust my brother, he's going to do well in CS. My name... our name will not be forgotten so easily".

As the rosters already locked in for the upcoming Regional Major Ranking event, DreamHack Open Fall, the earliest Nivera's debut for Vitality could happen is in BLAST Premier Fall Series, scheduled to start at the end of October.

With Nivera, Vitality will have the following roster:

which is also kind of the reason why misutaaa doesn't perform that well. apEX himself said he basically didn't know shit when they brought him on the team and had to learn pro-level teamplay, nades, flashes etc from scratch. You can't put someone with almost no experience in the pro scene into a position which is very dependant on making correct decisions and thinking on the fly while beeing in tricky situations. It is actually kinda insane to see him perform that well in this role, he had like what? 16 matches with 30 maps on HLTV with only 3 of them against real pro teams before they added him.

As someone who played the game a ton (or at least the previous 2 versions) on no wage, I can't say I totally disagree, but the motivation for a lot of people isn't the same as mine. Also, for as much time as I put in, I was also maintaining school and a social life. Had I been playing 12 hours a day I'd have probably burned out really quickly. Money is a big motivator in everything.

100% - the thing to remember is though these guys only became pro/as good as they are because of the insane amount of time and dedication they put into the game as a hobby and without any money, so the passion is already there. I understand the stresses involved but they earn in a month what the average dude earns in a year and they earn it playing a computer game they love

it's so much easier on them knowing a capable player is ready to fill in for the day if they need it. Just that fact alone would make the grind so much easier. Knowing there's a break if you need it and not endless 10h grinding for the next ___ years your contracted for.

Yeah the 6 man roster idea is good, i really like apex but i dont see him being the long term solution for french counterstrike as an igl...i think he did a really good job this year but dont forget that zywoo is a big part in the success without getting set up too much and giving it all for the team. For long term solution they could, as #174 suggested, let apex step back or put someone else out and either make one of their 3 young players or a new one dedicated igl and use all of that online era to bring out a young, sharp igl, helped out by apex and the coach. French counterstrike needs more than just zywoo to shine over the next years

Why not have the other five play, and apex still calls? They are allowing all communication during online play right. Then when lan comes, you can have apex rejoin the lineup.

It was like astralis if we dont count xyp9x. Bubzkji is practicing with team but es3tag is playing officials only because he is performing better. It doesnt mean that bubzkji is benched .Despe was on the roster and he was joining team practices but all the other players were just better so when someone couldnt play, despe was playing.

They were forced to play with them. JuGi had no time to be properly implemented and was meant to be a sub for dev1ce. Snappi was an emergency loan since Astralis just lost a second player.

It already has worked, the whole point of that roster is that if someone needs a break or if someone isn't performing/just doesn't fit in for that event because of some strats etc, they'll be switched out. It works exactly like in football, if you get picked for the event, you play until they say otherwise, not that hard to understand really. But the name checks out I guess

I think they will bench no one but they will do actual rotations for each tournament. Shox, RpK and Apex are getting old, they are tired more easily and can have a burnout so it will be great to make one of them resting a bit every tournament. If they really bench someone they are retarded imo
