BLAST Premier Fall Series groups revealed
BLAST has announced their Premier Fall Series group draw, which unifies the American and European regions.
Three groups have been put together to house the 12 teams that will compete at BLAST Premier Fall Series 2020 on October 26 - November 4. The BLAST tournament will be played online, but several teams will be traveling from North America to Europe to unify the regions, making it so the likes of Evil Geniuses, FURIA and MIBR can compete against the European teams.
The tournament will use the GSL-style double elimination bracket, with matches being played out in best-of-three series, ending in the top two seeds moving directly to the Fall Finals in December and the bottom two fighting their way through the Fall Showdown in November, where Liquid are waiting after pulling out of the Fall Series.
The first group will be played on October 26-28, with Natus Vincere, Evil Geniuses, OG and NiP fighting for the top seeds into the Fall Finals, while Vitality, BIG, FaZe and Complexity will be in Group 2, where the invited German squad will play against the three league partners with no American teams in the mix.
The last group will feature Astralis, FURIA, G2 and MIBR, with the latter of the two Brazilian teams still without a roster since dropping Fernando "fer" Alvarenga and Epitacio "TACO" de Melo followed by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo stepping down. In order to compete, however, they could resort to using stand-ins to field a squad.
The talent roster that will bring the action live has also been revealed, with an eight-person crew including the casting duos of Conner "Scrawny" Girvan and Mohan "launders" Govindasamy as well as Anders "Anders" Blume and Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat present.
The full talent lineup is:
James "BanKs" Banks - Host
