c0ntact add rigoN and Spinx

c0ntact have locked in their starting five ahead of Flashpoint 2 with the addition of Rigon "⁠rigoN⁠" Gashi and Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi.

Spinx and rigoN are now officially part of c0ntact as the team gets ready for the upcoming Flashpoint 2 tournament, which will kick off on November 10. This deal puts Spinx past his trial period, which lasted nearly two months, while rigoN puts pen to paper after joining up with the squad when Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield stepped down due to clashing roles on October 15.

c0ntact, who came in ninth place at Flashpoint 1 with a vastly different roster which only featured Otto "⁠ottoNd⁠" Sihvo and Rokas "⁠EspiranTo⁠" Milasauskas from the current lineup, will be aiming higher in the tournament's second edition with the addition of the incoming duo under the orders of veteran in-game leader Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer.

rigoN will be a permanent fixture for c0ntact from now on

“During the current pandemic and with poor results we decided we needed a new approach to get back to our former level,” says coach Neil "⁠NeiL_M⁠" Murphy. “The atmosphere and firepower in this online era was simply not good enough. We searched for two unknown talents that want to show themselves as top players and we found that in rigoN and Spinx surrounded by good proven experience coming into Flashpoint 2 and 2021.

“We feel that our new five have brought the hunger back from our successes in 2019 and we're very happy to show what they will do at Flashpoint 2 next month. We're here to become a heavy hitter and bring a top placement.”

Spinx, who came of his own through the FPL circuit, now puts behind him a two-month trial period in which he garnered a 1.01 rating across twenty maps on record with the European squad.

“I'm happy to sign my first professional contract in c0ntact,” the Israeli player says, “I waited knowing that maybe I could get into the squad one day and here I am.”

rigoN, one of the original m1x players that signed for Secret in 2019 and was benched from the European early this year, recently played in the HERCEGNOVI mix where he briefly reunited with Flatron "⁠juanflatroo⁠" Halimi before signing with c0ntact.

“I've waited for the last few months for my chance to show myself and play at the top,” rigoN says, “I'm hyped to be here with the boys to grind and compete in Flashpoint 2."

Other than Flashpoint 2, c0ntact are currently competing in the LOOT.Bet Season 8 Swiss group stage, which they’ve played with the two new incorporations. So far they have a 2-1 record following victories against Izako Boars and FATE, with the loss coming at the hands of Heretics.
