Nemiga replace GODSENT at IEM Beijing closed qualifier

GODSENT have pulled out of the qualifier at the last minute amidst rumors of possible movement in the European squad.

GODSENT have decided to withdraw from the European closed qualifier for IEM Beijing, HLTV.org has confirmed. Their decision to pull out of the tournament comes just two days after it was reported that ENCE were targeting Jesse "zehN" Linjala to replace Jani "Aerial" Jussila, who stepped down from the Finnish team last week to take sick leave.

The GODSENT organization is also reportedly in the middle of talks with currently teamless Flashpoint partner FunPlus Phoenix regarding the transfer of their roster to the Chinese organization.

GODSENT withdrew amid reports of ENCE's interest in zehN

Currently ranked 22nd following a second-place finish at the latest CIS Regional Major Ranking tournament, IEM New York, Nemiga has been invited to replace GODSENT at the IEM Beijing-Haidan Europe closed qualifier after Igor "lollipop21k" Solodkov & co. failed to qualify through the open stage.

The initial matchups have also been released in the meantime, which will see Nemiga take on K23 in the opening round of the double-elimination playoffs. The qualifier will run from October 30-November 2 and will offer two spots at the main event.

The schedule of the first day of the tournament looks as follows:

Friday, October 30
15:00 Russia Spirit vs. Bulgaria FATE
15:00 Europe Endpoint vs. Denmark North
18:00 Belarus Nemiga vs. Kazakhstan K23
18:00 Poland Illuminar vs. Germany Sprout

ence is just in such an unstable position tho. having to play with xseven for the major, relying heavily on ppl carrying them, and now they just lost another really important player in aerial both xseven and aerial were support type players playing the worst positions. who is going to do that now? i agree both jamppi and zehn are great players but does it fit the team? i dont rly know it looks like you just have a finnish faze now all great individual players, but strats are kinda shit, and there will be collisions with the roles if zehn joins

true dat, roles would be big mess but getting IGL instead of zehn would be much better for ENCE

yes this is my point exactly. they got sunny to igl, tbf its not bad but its a downgrade from aleksib since sunny is not performing as well individually. now was/is their chance to get a decent igl and maybe let sunny play those shit positions but not worry about calling at the same time. i think ence is maybe scared of going international but i think they should because: - half of the team already played in international rosters and jamppi and sergej can adapt - they need an igl but there is no igl in finnish teams who can frag at ences lvl of playing - they cant get aleksib back - there are enough good ingame leaders out there (grab AZR for free lol)

Not sure really, those ‚lele calls‘ he seemed to make occasionally (what was nothing more than false information on purpose) are a huge deal breaker IMO Also this guy is crazy anyway, just leave him in the retirement zone
2020-10-29 22:19
I would say it’s good for Ence but bad for Zehn.
2020-10-29 21:23
Absolutely not. Zehn should stay in GOD. The team is good and have been able to be a pain to top teams if everyone gets fragging. Dunno why he'd want to go to ENCE except the sole reason of finnish lineup

Ok if he's joining ENCE then i have a theory that zehN will be IGL he has been micromanaging a lot in GODSENT and probably does 2nd calling but if he joins ENCE hoping that he'll make the team better just by playing then i don't get him going to ENCE instead of going to FPX

I meant playing major is far more respectable than any other event. By playing major zehn had a chance of competing at a higher stake than playing other tournaments

Perfect timing for ENCE? 1) GODSENT would get some cash, and no need to pay Zehn (I guess he is the most expensive player in the lineup) 2) GODSENT could continue with the old organization. 3) There could be an option for GODSENT to loan/sign Zehn/Jamppi/Aerial, because ENCE would have 5-7 players in the lineup.

How it would be a bad move for zehN? Both teams has been around the same standings lately, but ENCE has been playing like shit, and mostly because of player that zehN would replace. zehN + some motivational kicking in the sergejs ass = EZ4ENCE
