Xizt and kreaz to stand in for Gen.G in Flashpoint
The Swedish duo will temporarily round out Gen.G's roster for the upcoming $1,000,000 tournament.
Gen.G has temporarily secured the services of the currently teamless Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson, who last played for Syman, and secured Richard "Xizt" Landström on loan from Dignitas ahead of Flashpoint 2, the North American organisation has announced.
The former NIP veteran will return to action for the first time since he was benched in Dignitas two months ago, while kreaz will play his first official matches since he attempted to qualify for DreamHack Open Fall with MBAPPEEK, a mixteam which boasted Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács, Georgi "SHiPZ" Grigorov, and Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov.
Gen.G's squad has been incomplete ever since Damian "daps" Steele and Sam "s0m" Oh left the lineup in early October in order to pursue a career in VALORANT together in NRG alongside Chet "Chet" Singh.
Late last month, rumors linked Gen.G with an attempt to sign Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas, but just over a week later it was also reported that EXTREMUM were pondering the opportunity to create a new Europe-based team containing the entire core still contracted to 100 Thieves, including the 23-year-old, Aaron "AZR" Ward, and Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai.
Gen.G will play the $1,000,000 tournament with the following roster:
Timothy "autimatic" Ta
Kenneth "koosta" Suen
Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand
Richard "Xizt" Landström (stand-in)
Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson (stand-in)
Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit (coach)
