Sharks confirm Lucaozy signing

The 19-year-old rounds out the Portuguese organisation's roster after over a year with DETONA.

Sharks have announced that they have secured the services of Lucas "⁠Lucaozy⁠" Neves after working out a transfer with DETONA. The 19-year-old becomes the second signing made by the Portuguese organisation in just two weeks following the arrival of Fillipe "⁠pancc⁠" Martins from W7M.

Lucaozy spent 15 months with DETONA following his transfer from Reapers in August 2019, helping the team to win the OMEN Atlantic Challenge, a tournament that was held in Lisbon and also featured Heretics, Movistar Riders and eXploit.

Lucaozy is Sharks' new player

On Twitter, team coach Hélder "⁠coachi⁠" Sancho expressed his delight at the signing, saying that Lucaozy was the "missing piece in the team" after the departure of Mateus "⁠supLexN1⁠" Miranda and the benching of Luca "⁠Luken⁠" Nadotti.

"I am very happy that we have signed Lucaozy," coachi said. "I am sure that he will have more impact with us than he's ever had before."

Sharks will officially return to a five-man roster following the expiry of Leonardo "⁠leo_drk⁠" Oliveira's loan deal with MIBR. The 21-year-old entry-fragger is averaging a 1.02 rating for the Brazilian giants, who are taking part in the BLAST Premier Fall season and will also attend Flashpoint 2.

Era quedarse en Sharks y punto. Teniamos a los dos mejores jugadores del pais en un solo team junto a leo y exit que son altos jugadores. Ahora que? Meyern en un team tier 3 y luken sin team. Y encima Meyern quedo mal psicologicamente, se le cago toda la confianza la cual tenia en sharks.

Why did it ruin Luken's career? Luken's problem was having to go back to SA. The fault that Sharks has not been dominant in Brazil lies with the organization itself by not bringing in a good player. Suplex and Heat would never have completed the place Meyern left.

He actually said in an interview, like last week. That he doesn't want to play in the region anymore (SA), not because of the level but because of the professionalism they have in NA, Europe. I mean, from his past experiences abroad that got him fascinated. And he is in great shape as a player so I wish him the best too, and it would be awesome that a team picked him up. He is in his prime and definitely deserves to shine.

nah, dont think so. Leo has performed really well. If MIBR keeps playing like this they'll probably buy him. And on the otherside Luken said that he doesn't want to continue to play in Sharks neither SA
