GODSENT target emi as potential replacement for kRYSTAL

The German in-game leader's days in the team appear to be numbered as they are currently looking for other options.

Kevin "⁠kRYSTAL⁠" Amend could be on his way out of GODSENT, HLTV.org has learned. The international team have already started looking for options to replace the German player, with former c0ntact member Luka "⁠emi⁠" Vuković being tested at the moment.

kRYSTAL has been a part of GODSENT for exactly a year following the Swedish organisation's signing of SMASH's roster in November 2019. He has received heavy criticism for his performances this year, in which he is yet to finish a tournament with above-average numbers.

kRYSTAL may have played his final match for GODSENT on Wednesday

emi has been without a team since August, when he stepped down from c0ntact in order to make way for Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer. Two months later, he announced that he had been released from his contract with the North American organisation and that he was looking to take up a leadership role in a new team.

The past few weeks have been filled with stories about GODSENT and what could happen with their CS:GO team. DBLTAP first reported that GODSENT were looking to transfer their entire roster, with HLTV.org then revealing that the Swedish organisation was already in advanced talks with FunPlus Phoenix.

Last week, another DBLTAP report suggested that ENCE were looking at Jesse "⁠zehN⁠" Linjala to replace Jani "⁠Aerial⁠" Jussila. However, the Finnish organisation's interest in the GODSENT rifler appears to have cooled following the signing of Joonas "⁠doto⁠" Forss from HAVU.

GODSENT were eliminated from LOOT.BET Season 8 on Wednesday by Espada and will return to action in three weeks' time, in the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, from November 24 to 29. Later in the month, they will also compete in DreamHack Masters Winter, which will run between November 30 and December 6.

kRYSTAL declined to comment on this report when contacted by HLTV.org.

I know that krystal is part of their success and that krystal build a Solid team out of washed up/unknown players and I hope that kRYSTAL won't get replaced by emi and If so that he moves to Coach. zehN is not "suddenly" top 10 material. He has been that good since I started watching him in Penta 2017 (yes kRYSTAL was also in that team). This is 2nd time he gets to be in top 20 team and both times he has performed well. It might be because of kRYSTAL but it definitely is not "suddenly".

devilwalk does nothing for the strategies. All Krystal work. Devilwalk is mostly a guy that give schedules and that the player doesn't hate each other.

Watch Pronax and Krystal HLTV stream interviews. Pronax said that Krystal do the absolutely main work for the team. Sure Krystal discusses this stuff with devilwalk but there is not much that he brings into the team for the gameplan.

Watch Krystals HLTV interview. he explains what they have worked for during the player break. Godsent lost so many maps cuz Styko couldn't aim easy shots. Something that his job but blame the IGL. I guess the csgo scene didn't learn anything from the legendary Faze karrigan kick. The IGL is not very often the problem. The players that believe they are better than the IGL are the problem.

Are you krystal on an alt account or do you just love this guy? I have mad respect for him, he's a decent igl, HOWEVER, this situation has occurred several times now, which means that we have to look at krystal and ask ourselves if maybe he's doing smth that's causing this to happen over and over again. The truth is he's good enough to get a team to top10/15 but neither as an igl nor as a fragger is he good enough for a team that wants to break into top 5 or at least get closer. He has proven that time and time again, so while I don't think emi is the right player to replace him, removing krystal is 1000% the right choice if you actually wanna achieve smth with this team, considering you have pretty decent firepower as well as good role balance within this team. A karrigan or pronax type igl, whose not fragging like hunden could prolly get them into top5 at least in this online era.

If I would get replaced by an even worse IGL with fewer skills, I would quit and search for another team. IGL still requested and Krystal has proved himself several times that he can bring a team to a Major. And for a tier 2 team (what godsent is) that is an amazing success.

I dunno, nowadays an IGL has to frag well to contend with the top teams on top of being adept at developing strategies, anti-stratting and being a good leader. If I was kRYSTAL, realistically where would I go to that isn't some irrelevant tier 3 CS team if I get kicked? Being relegated to a coaching role (like HUNDEN) wouldn't be the worst idea.

when you can bring a team to a major that is individual too bad for it, you have done a great job. And IGL should only be measured by the wins or loses of the team. Remember Krystal had 2 frags on Nuke but they won the map 16:2. So why demand fragging IGL that may have 15 frags but lose the map 16:13?? Krystal brought penta to the major 2 times. Godsent has now the opportunity. These teams couldn't have asked for more. If I had a tier 3 team. i would try to get Krystal so my team has a chance to go to the major.

kRYSTAL is an absolutely fantastic IGL from a "brains-only" perspective. He's the only reason why this team has come this far, I agree. However, a lot of people (and seemingly the org) have recognised that his fragging ability is a liability which may be a reason why they also lose a lot of games as well. I think emi is a poor choice but if they can manage to pick up someone better and make kRYSTAL coach to help him IGL and develop strats? It could possibly mean the break through to tier 1 CS instead of tier 2 purgatory.

EMI is a decent. Good IGL and offers the advantage that he can actually frag to an acceptable level (see Golden for an equivalent). Godsent is not a stacked firepower lineup so you need 5 players to deliver for them to win and Krystal had to go with his numbers. Unless you're a prime FaZe/Fnatic you can't afford to have someone like that and still win

For, the word you are looking is 'for", so the sentence should sound "changing bot for bot" not "on", Be supportive, emi is decent IGL, he is in the game for quite some time, he led Valiance to Major as coach, reached 10th place, took heavy blow when G2 bought nexa and hunter and still won Rotterdam as player and lost 2 DH finals. Worst replacement ever. Get Snappi instead he proved he can be a really good IGL with tactics (and has a similar style to kRYSTAL + he's a better fragger than kRYSTAL. At least you would have an upgrade from kRYSTAL because they are kind of similar. emi has nothing in common with kRYSTAL.
