MIBR defeat Envy at Flashpoint 2

Envy finish Group B in fourth place with a chance to advance to the last-chance qualifier, while MIBR will take on FORZE for a spot in the playoffs.

The new-look MIBR managed to fend off Envy's recently overhauled squad in a close three-map affair, putting the Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić-led side's fate in Flashpoint 2 in uncertainty as they finish last in the "Demo-lition men" group with two maps won across the two series. Only one of the three fourth-placed teams will advance to the last-chance qualifier, with that team determined based on the maps or rounds they won in the group stage.

MIBR came out of the gates with a win on their pick, Nuke, in a difficult affair that relied in large part on fantastic late-game impact plays from Alencar "trk" Rossato. The first half was far from ideal for the Brazilians, who began on the T side and ended up down 6-9 by halftime despite looking like the better team in the opening stretch of the map, and they had to put together a strong defense to come back.

MIBR will play forZe on Thursday for a spot in the playoffs

MIBR did just that after a back-and-forth start to the second half, in which trk won a 1v1 clutch in the pistol and went on to add a 1v2 to his name later on alongside two more multikills, spearheading the way while Envy struggled to close out most late-round scenarios.

For all the work he did on the second map, trk went missing altogether on Overpass, and it was left to Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe to make up for the gap as he tried his hardest to offset the team's inexperience on the map to no avail. Although the 28-year-old kept delivering, Envy maintained the pressure on MIBR, being the first to reach double digits on the back of a close first half. After a grueling affair, the map ended up going all the way to the end of regulation, where LEGIJA & co. prevailed in the last two rounds to force the decider.

The Brazilians clinched the series on Inferno, where good starts to both halves and some clutch play from kNgV- were the deciding factors, as the in-game leader led the way with 25 kills to ensure victory for the Brazilian squad.

tbh this may be the only MiBR team that is actually supported by most, with players from a lot of regional teams from Brazil, pretty good ones, that still have that passion, they get so hyped every round they win, they crave for a title. FalleN's crew didn't. They got cocky and so did their fans. This roster (if it lasts) can change most HLTV users minds, hope BR fans don't ruin it again for them with their pride, ego and toxicity...

That's just how each player act. KNG and Lucas1 were always like this, they scream, they cheer up, they were just like this in immortalls aswell, Fer on the other half is someone who is always calm, just like trk... Dont get me wrong lucas1 is my favorite player, just because he looks like such a nice guy, but i dont think the old mibr lost the passion or something like this. It's just different people who act differently, you dont see fer screaming, even when he won the major. And cold was on fallen stream yesterday saying that mibr was ALL full tactics and the team was not playing free, and that was killing them.... he even said that they pretty much play default on faze now, and he barely use strats, he let the players play how they want to, so players can feel more comfortable.

which is a flaw in the format imo. lets say cloud9 beats og on sunday, then og, one of the biggest names and honestly a better team than envy, will not go into the last chance because they had better opponents than envy. idk we'll see how it plays out i guess but it doesnt look good to me at least

well Geng actually looked quite good, and OG wasnt looking as sharp as than can be meanwhile c9 lost against a rn not that good playing VP they can obviously play better this upcoming match since we only saw one match yet, but i dont think they will win against OG as long as they perform 60%

yeah geng looked quite good but if you are og you should be winning against geng any day of the week tbh

sure but they performed bad so thats my point if they perform they will win against c9 if they dont it depends on if someone out of c9 will carry them

yeah i understand what you mean. although i personally think that floppy is good enough for eu, but i think his downfall might be something that launders said recently, he is willing to play eveyr position for his team which will probably lower his stats massively. we'll see though

MIBR is showing a little bit of life left in them, with small changes this team could be really good I think. And Envy should either rebuild around Calyx and Nifty or disband, because this roster has no future, sad to say that but this is the truth.
