ex-Cloud9 to retain oSee; round out roster with Infinite

The team will make their debut in the Mustache Masters charity event, set to run from November 14-15.

The former Cloud9 lineup have added Gage "Infinite" Green to their roster while retaining the services of Josh "oSee" Ohm, Dust2.us has confirmed. The roster was first announced as an invite to the Mustache Masters charity event taking place from November 14-15, with donations for the event going towards the Movember Foundation.

ex-Cloud9 were released from the organisation following COVID-19 contract violations after a member of the team allowed a guest into the team house despite prior warnings to request permission from management. Notably, oSee remained contracted as a result of not living at the team house, leaving his future in question, but Dust2.us has confirmed that the AWPer intends to continue competing with the team.

Infinite will fill the gap left by floppy's departure

Infinite arrives as a familiar face to some of the ex-Cloud9 members, having previously played alongside Ian "motm" Hardy and oSee on Singularity and Etherian. In a statement to Dust2.us, oSee said that Infinite would be a "perfect fit" for the lineup as he plays similar roles to Ricky "floppy" Kemery, a player that was crucial in the former Cloud9 roster's success.

According to Dust2.us, the South African trio of Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek, Johnny "JT" Theodosiou, and Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen are also exploring options regarding their P1-visa status in order to remain in the United States.

With the addition of Infinite, ex-Cloud9's roster is:

South Africa Johnny "JT" Theodosiou
South Africa Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
United States Ian "motm" Hardy
United States Josh "oSee" Ohm (under contract with Cloud9)
United States Gage "Infinite" Green

South Africa Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (coach)

I have hopes for C9 but their first showing was atrocious. Gen.G on the other hand completely shocked me and I hope it wasn't a fluke.

Was a fluke. Koosta isn't consistent enough to perform that way repeatedly.

You don't know that. Its been a long time since gen.g play competitively. Stop judging someone by his past blunder. Even if koosta doesn't perform consistently decent, the others 3 can easily back him up for the team.
2020-11-14 04:24

You don't even know what my criteria is for him being consistent. I'm not judging him harshly, but realistically. Koosta's top level is very high, but he rarely maintains it. If you have a lot of history to qualify an opinion, you're making an educated assumption. My assumptions are based on a bulk of his performances over the past few years. A few months away from the game isn't likely to change that. He has decent enough teammates, but for them to be a threat they all need to be hitting a top level, which rarely happens at the same time.

They went from NA to UK cs, so at this point it can't get worse right? Probably new roster in max 6 months.
2020-11-14 03:59
Of course it was a fluke lol, they have fucking xizt
2020-11-14 08:12
Was the same on DH Anaheim when they just formed the roster. Turned out to be a fluke.

Kreaz looked actually good but it was only one match so we gotta see the rest of the tournament... If he is good though he should be a easy pickup as no big team besides Gen G would be going for him. EDIT: Just checked and kreaz is teamless so literally free pickup

Kreaz is always decent and solid player imo. If gen.g interested in osee, xizt is the one to be replace with. And also auti need to back to rifler ( which he said he dont want to. )

I am pretty sure on stream he said that he would be fine with rifling but awps because nobody else is good at it on the team. Junior could be a potential awper replacement though hes looked like one of the best NA awpers right now.

huh that's a really good point. he's like a somewhat less proven grim, among the best players bouncing around lower tier NA CS who could be a prospective player for a better team. yeah I think if it weren't for his reputation for uh, not having the n word pass or whatever, I recall infinite was going to be picked up by cloud9 all the way in 2018 or something.

Pretty much, and it wouldn't shock me if that coincides with attitude issues (Ryx). The NA scene has a bad history of that.

I'm still a fan of this team but they really needed to pick up someone who's actually capable of filling floppy's shoes. I don't think they can improve by downgrading a player. But i guess the problem is they don't have an org so they can't afford anyone good
