BLAST Premier Showdown match-ups announced

Sixteen teams will duke it out in a single-elimination bracket for the chance to reach the season finals.

BLAST has revealed the match-ups for the first round of the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, a last-chance qualifier for the Fall Finals. The single-elimination tournament will be held between November 24 and 29 and will offer two spots in the $750,000 competition.

The list of participants for the Showdown tournament features six BLAST partners, including Liquid, who skipped the season's opening event and stayed in North America. The 16 teams were asked to rank each other, with FURIA earning the top seed and a first-round clash against Argentinian side Isurus, the winner of the FiReLEAGUE Latin Power qualifier.

Liquid will face MAD Lions in their first match on European soil

The seeding process has produced some intriguing ties, including a CIS derby between Spirit and Virtus.pro and another clash between Marcelo "coldzera" David's FaZe and his former team of MIBR. The new Cloud9 roster, which shockingly crashed out of Flashpoint 2 in the group stage on Sunday, faces a tough task to reach the quarter-finals against NiP, who have seen a relatively decent upturn in form in the last couple of matches.

Below you can find the Round of 16 match-ups for the tournament:

Brazil FURIA vs. Argentina Isurus
Russia Spirit vs. CIS Virtus.pro
Europe FaZe vs. Brazil MIBR
United States Liquid vs. Denmark MAD Lions
United States Evil Geniuses vs. Europe Endpoint
Europe mousesports vs. Europe GODSENT
Europe Complexity vs. Germany Sprout
Sweden NiP vs. Europe Cloud9
