Cyber Legacy drop CS:GO team

Denis "seized" Kostin and company are sticking together as a team and looking for a new organization.

Cyber Legacy has deciced to suspend the CS:GO operations while it reevaluates its future in the game, leaving the team around seized without backing, the Russian organization has announced.

seized has since taken to Twitter to state that the lineup will be sticking together and playing under the tag BEZ ZP for the time being while they search for a new organization to represent.

Cyber Legacy dropped seized's team

The current iteration of the roster has been playing together since August after the original team underwent a core change over the course of three months, with Vadim "V4D1M" Panchuk, Max "THRONE" Semenov, and Danylo "nat1ve" Bakin making way for Timur "clax" Sabirov, seized, and Stanislav "fostar" Ostashevskiy.

The latest lineup went on to peak at No. 65 in the rankings after largely regional play, most notably qualifying for IEM New York CIS. More recently, the squad advanced to the European Development Championship 1 after beating Winstrike in the semi-finals of the closed qualifier.

BEZ ZP will be among the underdogs at the main tournament, which will take place on December 7-20 and features teams like forZe, Endpoint, Illuminar, and K23.

The former Cyber Legacy squad looks as follows:

Russia Mikhail "tricky" Krutov
Russia Aleksandr "glowiing" Matsievich
Russia Denis "seized" Kostin
Russia Timur "clax" Sabirov
Ukraine Stanislav "fostar" Ostashevskiy

Since seeing them in IEM, I thought that they would go further. All three of their matches were against some pretty big teams, and although they didn't win them they were all close. They shit on Navi on inferno. Since then their results haven't been as great.

yeah they were always bested by fnatic or Luminosity/SK in the finals IMO 2016-2017 was the peak of csgo's competetive scene: SK, NaVi, G2 with shox & scream... those were some amazing matches

how could 2016 be the peak of scene if almost every t1 team was in huge slump? LG became #1 from t2 in 1 event just bcoz every team above them got worse. 2017 was good but still far from the best. Real peak was 2014-2015: mappool was increased to 7 maps, every few months new #1, even during fnatic era we always had 3-4 team close to them (tsm, vp, navi, ldlc/envyUs, nip)

i only started watching competetive csgo at the beginning of 2015. it was nice 2015 as well but the excitement and quality of games was just better 2016-2017 IMO
2020-12-02 14:59
Players like seized should wake up and search for a „real“ job, their time in a competetive landscape was over two years ago

Yeh. That’s the problem with CSGOs open-styled tournament circuit. The small orgs just don’t get the streams...I knew of them cause of seized but, never saw a match. Aw well. Maybe they’ll grab a Valorant team or Siege team. Something cheaper who knows.
