coldzera says FaZe will sign a captain and a psychologist for 2021
The Brazilian star revealed the team's plans for next year, and did not rule out additional roster changes.
FaZe want to sign a dedicated in-game leader for 2021, Marcelo "coldzera" David told the 'Flow Podcast'. The Brazilian took up the in-game leader role during the last months of 2020 following Nikola "NiKo" Kovač's transfer to G2, which forced the team to bring Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer back from inactivity.
"We will sign a captain, which is our plan, and a psychologist," coldzera said. "We really need to sign a captain. This will also free me up to take spots in which I enjoyed playing. We don't know if we'll change other players because at the moment we're focused on signing a captain and a psychologist. Olofmeister doesn't want to stay because he wants to retire."

During the interview, the 26-year-old rifler said that the team had to make too many roster changes in 2020. When olofmeister stepped down from the roster, FaZe fielded Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras as a stand-in for nearly three months before signing Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye in August. Two months later, they had to go back to the drawing board as NiKo was lured by G2. The instability, according to coldzera, led to numerous challenges with regards to implementing a structure.
The Brazilian thinks that bringing in a psychologist is important to help deal with internal issues, and says that players tend to bring personal problems into the team. "The ideal setup for me is to have a coach, an analyst, six players, and one psychologist," coldzera revealed. FaZe haven't had a coach since Janko "YNk" Paunović left in October following NiKo's transfer to G2, and also don't have an analyst at the moment.
At the end of the podcast, coldzera named Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, Finn "karrigan" Andersen, and Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo as the best in-game leaders in the world. karrigan has been linked with a return to FaZe, while FalleN, who played alongside coldzera between 2015 and 2019, is reportedly in talks with Liquid to replace Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken.
