Cloud9 in talks with Elmapuddy - Report

The Australian is on the verge of a return to Cloud9, where he had a brief spell as an assistant coach in late 2019.

Cloud9 are on the verge of signing Gen.G's Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit, according to a report from Rush B Media. Cloud9's General Manager, Henry "HenryG" Greer, has confirmed that the organization is in deep talks with the Australian coach and stated that the negotiations are going well.

"While nothing has been made official as of yet, it is no secret that we are in deep talks with Elmapuddy," HenryG told Rush B Media. "He's an absolutely fantastic coach and negotiations are going extremely well. I can't wait to update you all later in the week."

Elmapuddy is close to returning to Cloud9

Cloud9 have been looking for a new coach since parting ways with Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović at the end of 2020 after only four months together, due to a stylistic clash between the Serbian coach and the team's in-game leader, Alex "ALEX" McMeekin.

Elmapuddy is currently in Gen.G's ranks, having transferred to the American-Korean organization from Cloud9 at the end of 2019. In mid-December last year, the 24-year-old was allowed to explore his options as he was transfer-listed by Gen.G alongside the rest of the lineup, featuring Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand, Timothy "autimatic" Ta, and Kenneth "koosta" Suen.

Before his first stint outside of his home country as Cloud9's assistant coach, the Australian stood behind ORDER, which at the time featured names such as Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas, Jordan "Hatz" Bajic, and Alistair "aliStair" Johnston, and Dark Sided.

The news follows an earlier report from Tuesday by HLTV.org and 1pv.fr, which brought to light Cloud9's plans of signing ex-Chaos member Erick "Xeppaa" Bach. With his and Elmapuddy's signing, the roster would look as follows:

United Kingdom Alex "ALEX" McMeekin
Turkey Özgür "woxic" Eker
United Kingdom William "mezii" Merriman
United States Ricky "floppy" Kemery
Denmark Patrick "es3tag" Hansen
United States Erick "Xeppaa" Bach

Australia Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit (coach)

:DDDD come on, he might be entertaining but he's no coach. He overanalyses situations in a way, that he describes teams' actions as intentional, when they actually weren't. It's ridicilous how HenryG falls for the biggest pretenders and I truly feel bad for es3tag ending up playing under this org.
