Sprout add kressy, slaxz-
Sprout return to their roots with the addition of two German players.
Sprout have officially announced the signing of Marko "kressy" Đorđević and Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich to round out their starting five, as the squad's active roster had been depleted to three players.
The return to a German lineup had been in the making since the end of 2020, when Sprout's Polish duo, Michał "snatchie" Rudzki and Paweł "dycha" Dycha, were removed from the active roster last December following a failed bid to qualify for ESL Pro League.
Reports late last year noted kressy and slaxz- were high on Sprout's shortlist, with the rumors of their acquisition by the German organization gaining steam when both players stated that they would not be renewing their contracts with ALTERNATE aTTaX, the team they had been playing for since the beginning of 2019.
Adding to the acquisition of the two new players, Sprout have also expanded their coaching staff by signing Jan "jansen" Westerheide, formerly of BIG Academy, as the team's analyst.
Sprout are now set to return to action with their full German lineup at UNITED Pro Series, although they will then have to play the ESL Meisterschaft playoffs with stand-ins as the incoming duo played the regular season with ALTERNATE aTTaX and are therefore ineligible, before getting the upcoming ESEA MDL season underway.
Sprout's lineup is the following:
Timo "Spiidi" Richter
Denis "denis" Howell
Josef "faveN" Baumann
Marko "kressy" Đorđević
Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich
Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn (coach)
Paweł "dycha" Dycha (transfer-listed)
