MIBR part ways with LUCAS1, vsm, leo_drk

MIBR are now left with just two players, Alencar "⁠trk⁠" Rossato and Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe.

MIBR have officially parted ways with Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles, Vinicius "⁠vsm⁠" Moreira, Leonardo "⁠leo_drk⁠" Oliveira, and coach Raphael "⁠cogu⁠" Camargo, the Immortals Gaming Club-owned organization has announced.

The organization released a statement on Twitter on Wednesday, confirming the departure of the quartet MIBR brought on in late October in the aftermath of the benching of Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga, Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo, Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo a month earlier.

LUCAS1, vsm, and leo_drk leave MIBR after a three-month tenure

Although no official reason was given by the organization, LUCAS1 revealed in a Tweet that their contracts had only lasted for three months and that a contract renewal could not be sorted out.

Meanwhile, a report from globoesporte states that MIBR faced difficulties behind the scenes with the buyout of leo_drk from Sharks, a notion that the Portuguese organization denied as it claimed that MIBR had never made an offer for the 21-year-old. According to the report, negotiations with the other players and the coach fell through in part because of that standing in the way of the entire lineup sticking together.

The trio played three tournaments under the MIBR banner, placing seventh-ninth at the BLAST Premier Fall Series, fifth-eighth at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, and fourth at Flashpoint 2, and picking up some big wins along the way, most notably against FURIA, FaZe, and OG.

MIBR now only have the following duo:

So weird. Mibr shouldve payed whatever they needed to keep this line up. They were extremely lucky this line up turned out so well and its not a given itll happen again with a new one. Sad, because this line up was quite fun to watch.

As pointed by #203 “Cogu went on Gaules stream and exposed them all. I'll briefly summarize here. Cogu said they had the feeling the org never wanted to contract them. From what he said, they sat with Tomi Lurppis to negotiate and the MIBR manager said they would offer $5k of salary and the players would have to pay for food and housing. If they go to Europe, they would have $30 per day for food. The players reffused this offer, said their price was $15k per month, Lurppis then proceed to call cogu a child and that the negotiation was over. He turned off the call and that was it. Cogu also said that this Lurppis, back in 1.6, was playing against a team that had a player in a wheelchair and he typed in the chat ingame: "We're not gonna lose for this disabled". “ Man I’m actually disgusted by this shit. Worst org I’ve ever seen. I’m gonna cheer for the team cogu will assemble but not for this Next MIBR. I’m also hoping TRK and KngV are release so they can join the boys. HEN1 will also join them hopefully. The dream scenario would be they playing under Gaule’s old tag, g3x. Maybe if gau spent some money on that they can work it out.
