FaNg in talks with Extra Salt - Report
The 18-year-old would round out the roster for the new organisation ahead of the 2021 tournament circuit.
Justin "FaNg" Coakley is in discussions to finalise the active roster of Extra Salt, HLTV.org has learned. The Canadian rifler has competed in the past five seasons of ESEA MDL, and recently impressed in IEM Beijing-Haidian North America as a part of Rugratz, averaging a 1.11 rating over eight maps against Liquid, Chaos, and New England Whalers.
Extra Salt entered CS:GO in December 2020 with the signing of the ex-Cloud9 core, offering hope to North America as one of the few organisations willing to invest in a team from the region at this time. FaNg would fill the spot left vacant by Gage "Infinite" Green, who was previously competing with the roster but did not make the move to the new organisation.

According to Rush B Media, the organisation were also open to exploring the idea of a six-man roster in December, something they would be able to turn their attention toward with the signing of FaNg. Sources also tell HLTV.org that Extra Salt were in talks with Gen.G's Kenneth "koosta" Suen, although it is unknown whether discussions with the 24-year-old are still underway.
The team currently await the start of the 2021 tournament circuit, and will likely make their debut with the Canadian addition in DreamHack Open January North America, an event whose sole open qualifier is set to commence on January 20.
Should the move be confirmed, Extra Salt would have:
Johnny "JT" Theodosiou
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
Ian "motm" Hardy
Josh "oSee" Ohm
Justin "FaNg" Coakley
Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (coach)
